About this listen

Posey Knight is off limits.

She's the sweet-as-sin little sister of my once-best friend. While I deal in dirty deeds and depravity, I know all the reasons I can't have her.

The problem is, I'm obsessed. I can't seem to get her out of my head no matter how hard I try.

I don't play by the rules, but for her, I'd be willing to break them all.

This is Iron's story, set in the Dollhouse world first introduced in Amusement. This title can be read as a stand-alone.

I love that this book is duet and has fantastic narrators. You can't help but fall in love with this couple. It was a short read so I finished it in a day. I would say it's a two star on spice.

Love this second chance romance!

I really liked the first book but this was just “okay” nothing exciting happened. But I’d listen to anything by Jacob!

Love Jacob Morgan

My first 🎧book by this author and it was deliciously good, the narration was on point with Jacob Morgan & Brooke Daniels some of my favorite narrators❣️ The storyline was interesting, little angst, some smexy times but not enough if you ask me🤭 I like that it ends with a HFN not a true HEA I expected more, like a wedding maybe some surprise babies but no such luck it ends kinda abruptly it felt rushed and unfinished. Is it worth a credit? Yes, it is!💋

Honestly, the narration is not good, but the story is really good, so I guess it balances out. I tried to just ignore how terrible the narrators are, and it's doable, since the story is great.

good story

The narrators did a fantastic job bringing the story to life! I absolutely loved Hudson’s character.

Can I give performance 6 stars?!

Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💚🖤💙💜❤️

Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍
Character development: 😠😘🤓😉🥰

The heroine: Posey - she is a nineteen year old good girl living in a bad neighborhood in Detroit. Her older brother Antony died, her fourteen year old sister is growing up too fast and hanging out with a bad crowd, and the guy she thought she liked, turned out to be a loser. She plans to go to college and works hard to save money for that.

The Hero: Hudson (a.k.a. Iron) - He works for Rex (the King of the city) as well as owns a few businesses. Though he looks like the enforcer his is, with all his muscles and tattoos, he is actually a super intelligent man who went to MIT and does security and IT work for Rex. After his mother died when he was young, his granny took him in and she lived across the street from Posey and her family. Antony was his best friend.

The Story: Hudson had been attracted to Posey when he used to spend time at their house as Antony’s best friend. However, she was younger than him and his friend’s little sister, so was off limits. After Antony died and Posey turned 18, he still saw her as off limits, so he slept with random women to try to forget her. This didn’t work and after he sees Posey in one of the clubs Rex owns, he can no longer ignore his obsession with her.

I liked this story. Hudson was as obsessed with her as Rex was with Lucy in Amusement, so much so that he swore he would kill Carlos, the guy who was bothering her. Though he wasn’t quite as psycho as Rex. Hudson was more relatable, but I liked Rex and the way he was an unashamed psycho stalker and made no bones about it. Though Hudson did have secrets, one of which he feared would make Posey hate him.

The book was told in both Hudson’s and Posey’s points of view via duet narration which I love. It makes a romance audiobook so much better when the male narrator does all the male voices and the female does all the female voices. Brooke Daniels and Jacob Morgan did the narration and they did a great job.

Duet Narration!

I loved this story, but it ended too fast after they finally got together . I was really hoping for an epilogue. Both narrators were great they matched the characters well.

Loved the story
