About this listen

The Doctor's been everywhere and everywhen in the whole of the universe and seems to know all the answers. But ask him what happened to the Starship Brilliant and he hasn't the first idea. Did it fall into a sun or black hole? Was it shot down in the first moments of the galactic war? And what's this about a secret experimental drive?

The Doctor is skittish. But if Martha is so keen to find out he'll land the TARDIS on the Brilliant, a few days before it vanishes. Then they can see for themselves.

The Pirate Loop is one more Ten/Martha adventure just like from Season 3. It's in character and easy to play it across your memory as if it were from the tv series. It's thrilling and funny and interesting all at the same time. This is one of my favorite Martha stories, and I listen to it again and again.

Martha can take care of herself

As an adult, I love the Doctor Who audio books, even though they say they are aimed at kids. This one, with badger headed creatures some how seemed more child like. Freema Agyeman also lacks the ability to do the many different voices that other narrators are capable of. She does a decent 10th doctor though.

More for kids

this story, The Pirate Loop, is a very interesting story indeed. The author did a nice job of leaving in the Doctor Who Mythos and the narrator was outstanding. Freeman did a beautiful job of even capturing David Tennant voice patterns and inflections throughout the reading.

The story held me in suspense as you didn't quite know where things were going to end up. A typical Doctor Who story. overall, I'm glad I purchase this book through Audible.

Brilliant!

Ms. Agyeman is one of my favorite companions of the Doctor, and she does a great job in bringing life to this quirky and interesting story (which starts a little slowly but picks up its pace quickly). However, I think "cheese and pineapple sticks" is embedded in my brain for eternity... :-)

Interesting Story And A Great Performance, But...
