Once upon a time, there were three hungry dinosaurs: Papa Dinosaur, Mama Dinosaur...and a dinosaur who happened to be visiting from Norway. One day - for no particular reason - they decided to tidy up their house, make the beds, and prepare pudding of varying temperatures. And then - for no particular reason - they decided to go...someplace else. They were definitely not setting a trap for some succulent, unsupervised little girl.

Story
You might think a book with no pictures seems boring and serious. Except . . . here's how books work. Everything written on the page has to be said by the person reading it aloud. Even if the words say…. BLORK. Or BLUURF. Even if the words are a preposterous song about eating ants for breakfast, or just a list of astonishingly goofy sounds like BLAGGITY BLAGGITY and GLIBBITY GLOBBITY. Cleverly irreverent and irresistibly silly, The Book with No Pictures is one that kids will beg to hear again and again. (And parents will be happy to oblige.)

Story
A mouse is taking a stroll through the deep, dark wood when along comes a hungry fox, then an owl, and then a snake. The mouse is good enough to eat but smart enough to know this, so he invents...the gruffalo! As Mouse explains, the gruffalo is a creature with terrible claws, and terrible tusks in its terrible jaws, and knobbly knees and turned-out toes, and a poisonous wart at the end of its nose. But Mouse has no worry to show. After all, there's no such thing as a gruffalo....

Story
Meet the good egg. He’s a verrrrrry good egg indeed. But trying to be so good is hard when everyone else is plain ol’ rotten. As the other eggs in the dozen behave badly, the good egg starts to crack from all the pressure of feeling like he has to be perfect. So, he decides enough is enough! It’s time for him to make a change.... Jory John hatches a funny and charming story that reminds us of the importance of balance, self-care, and accepting those who we love (even if they are sometimes a bit rotten).

The kingdom of Cornucopia was once the happiest in the world. It had plenty of gold, a king with the finest moustache you could possibly imagine, and butchers, bakers, and cheesemongers whose exquisite foods made a person dance with delight when they ate them. Everything was perfect - except for the misty Marshlands to the north, which, according to legend, were home to the monstrous Ickabog. Anyone sensible knew that the Ickabog was just a myth to scare children into behaving. But the funny thing about myths is that sometimes they take on a life of their own.

Story
Once upon a time, there were three hungry dinosaurs: Papa Dinosaur, Mama Dinosaur...and a dinosaur who happened to be visiting from Norway. One day - for no particular reason - they decided to tidy up their house, make the beds, and prepare pudding of varying temperatures. And then - for no particular reason - they decided to go...someplace else. They were definitely not setting a trap for some succulent, unsupervised little girl.

Story
Dragons love tacos. They love chicken tacos, beef tacos, great big tacos, and teeny tiny tacos. So if you want to lure a bunch of dragons to your party, you should definitely serve tacos. Buckets and buckets of tacos. Unfortunately, where there are tacos, there is also salsa. And if a dragon accidentally eats spicy salsa...oh, boy. You're in red-hot trouble.

Hilarious and Clever book for the young ones.
A classic knee slapper for the kiddos! Love it. A very interactive book that allows kids to understand consequences of a silly request.

Pigeon and the Bus
My 5 year old loves this story! She listens to it over and over again! The narrative at the end is too much. A 5 year old does not want to hear that. She just wants it to play again. So that part is disappointing because it is long and unnecessary. But the reading and the story I s great!

Cute story, Unnecessary Author Commentary ending
The story itself is super cute with background music and silly sounds. I couldn't see any of the synchronized images while playing the audio from the cloud player on my computer. I'm going to try it again from my iPhone later tonight and update my review.
The last like 3-4 minutes is the author rambling on about creating the story, or something. I'm honestly not sure, I was looking for help online with the synchronized images, so I stopped listening to what he was saying.

If this is a “read along” story it should have said so... this was so short and such a waste of a credit!

Unnecessary and unwanted commentary at the end
It's an good book and engaging performance. We have several of his books. But this book rolls into a weird, sort of egotistical, behind the scenes interview at the end. It's clearly not for kids so I'm not sure why it's there.

Useless w/o the pictures.
A children’s book w/o pictures is utterly useless. Audible, come on! Make it make sense.
