About this listen

Twelve years ago, forensic anthropologist Jamie Cash survived a brutal kidnapping. After years of therapy, she has made a life for herself, though it is one that is haunted by memories of her terrifying past. She finally lets herself believe that she can have a close relationship with a man, when signs start appearing that point to one frightening fact: her attacker is back and ready to finish the job he started all those years ago. Can Jamie escape her attacker's grasp a second time? And will she ever be able to let down her guard enough to find true love?

Second book in series and same cops are doing the same thing as they did in the first book, overlooking the obvious. Was understandable in the first story but makes them seem less than stellar in the second one when it follows exactly the same path. The narrator is too “whispery” at times. Overall good story but just wish the detectives were smarter. Jamie’s character is such a fighter that I wouldn’t stop listening because I wanted her to win!

Decent story, not so bright detectives

I loved the book. very suspenseful, however the narrator has a bit of a gravely voice so everything sounded as if she was in the middle of a big suspense scene.

great book.

I feel this is a unique genre. Christian, suspense, strong female lead, and serial killers.

intensity yet satisfying ending

The first book's narrator made a lot of the characters' voices too high. This one had better voices.

Better voice acting

I have just started reading this author and have throughly enjoyed her books. This was well written and had a surprise at the end, at least it did for me. Narration was good, she did the voices well, but sometimes I had to strain to hear her. Good clean romantic suspense.

This author keeps the listener involved, and she includes Biblical truths. The narrator was difficult to listen to, especially at the beginning of the novel. I almost stopped listening.

For folks who like to hear the story from the point of view of the killer, they will like this narrative.
I listened to the “Epilogue,” and I have decided that I need to select a little lighter fare in the future.

“Through the Eyes of a Serial Killer

Almost too much bad stuff for one character, but I did appreciate her dependence on her faith.

Kept me on the edge of my seat!
