About this listen

Having a pack isn't even on the radar for Dr. Piper Blake. Her focus is strictly on her surgical residency. There's no time for dating when the standards you set for yourself are sky high.

Unfortunately for Piper, the captain of the New Haven Foxes has a different idea. Alexi Bandnin is ready to make this his best season yet, by winning the Cup, and building his dream pack in the process.

The larger-than-life Alpha is playing his own matchmaker when it comes to the stubborn Piper and the team's new broody goalie, Owen. He becomes obsessed with the three becoming a pack and will do just about anything to make them both his.

The three have to unpack insecurities, self-doubt, and secrets to make this work. Time will only tell if they can make it to the end of the hockey season in one piece, or completely shattered.

Contains mature themes.

I loved the narrators! This was such a fun hockey omegaverse! I loved that there was a female alpha and male omega!

Hockey omegaverse!

This was such a bittersweet journey for this pack. They each went through their own hardships to get them where they were. The patience and perseverance of Alexi made everything possible. His certainty and protective dominance is swoon worthy. It’s just perfection and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

The Journey of Acceptance and Unconditional Love

I will start with the narrators. Ash and Alyssa did an amazing job, just as they did in book 1. They brought each character to life and did a terrific job with the accents.

This book is a MMF or heck maybe a MFM I can’t remember which was first. But I will say there are definitely more MM scenes, and I’m not necessarily complaining because they were hot, I just usually like my reverse harems where they are all involved (and maybe a MM scene on the side!). Also, this one Piper (F) is an Alpha and Owen is the Omega (M) which made the whole dynamic seem a little off to me. This is the first one I’ve read like this so maybe it was just me. Piper seemed to need to be “carried” by the other Alpha a little too much in my opinion. Alexie (sp?) was amazing an Alpha! I loved him!

The book was hot, give it a try! You don’t need to read book 1 but it’s great…you should!

Narrators are amazing!

The narrators did pretty good with the story. I’d listen to them again!

The story was cut and I loved the dyads within the ménage. It felt very respectful of the four separate relationships happening. Alexi and Piper, Alexi and Owen, Piper and Owen, and then all of them together.

I enjoyed the family dynamics, though would have liked a slightly better resolution with her dad.

Hot parts were hot!

I enjoyed the narration a lot

This was such a disappointing story. Piper feels like a third wheel on the men’s epic romantic relationship and “less than” which is just sad, and the book left me sad for her. NOT how I like to feel at the end of a romance. I wanted it to be less about them and more about their love for her. So disappointing especially since the first book was so good.

Great narration, disappointing story

This was okay. I didn’t love it but I didn’t hate it either. The female narrator sounded like she had a jolly rancher in her mouth while she was talking. I never really got into the story. With two stubborn characters it was hard to enjoy it.

Meh…
