About this listen

Stone Barrington faces down danger on all sides in the latest thriller from perennial fan-favorite Stuart Woods.

Stone Barrington is settling in for a stretch in New York when he receives news that demands immediate action. An old family matter has unexpectedly resurfaced, and Stone must decamp to the craggy shores of Maine to address the issue head-on.

There, Stone finds that a dual-pronged threat is hiding in plain sight among the stately houses and exclusive coastal clubs, and the incursion isn't easily rebuffed. These enemies have friends in high places, funds to spare, and a score to settle with Stone...and only the cleverest plot will draw them out into the open. From luxuriously renovated homes to the choppy ocean waters, the pursuit can only lead to an explosive end.

Bringing closure to a bad situation

This story follows up up on a very bad set of events. This is a large departure for Stone and Dino but there was no other way to stop the evil of the twins.

Good story

Stone stories are enjoyable. Dino and Stone's fun bantering is fun to listen to as well.
Tony Roberts always delivers.

BEST STONE BOOK IN A LOOOONG TIME.

Fast paced and much higher quality than for the past few years. Woods, or whoever actually writes it, finally put some effort in.

It’s OK

So many of Stone Barrington books are hard to put down. Not this one. I enjoyed it but it really wasn’t anything special

One of the most enjoyable Stone Barrington novels!

The plot was original and it was more engaging than several of his previous books. The focus was on the action with much less redundant trivia about what meals were being consumed and the emphasis on the frequent bedroom action. It reminded me of the finest Stewart Woods books from earlier in his career. Woods is still a talented writer!

Only one complaint

I enjoyed listening to this book. Good story and plot.
The reader did a good job reading BUT he is obviously an older gentleman so all the characters sounded old too.
