Pop Quiz

True or False: Bellissimo Resort and Casino Super Spy Davis Way Cole, her partner, Fantasy Erb, and a trivia queen named Mango Matisse are kidnapped.

The answer is true. Stuffed in the storage compartment of a motorhome, the women are abducted from a golf course and abandoned on a ravaged barrier island somewhere in the Gulf.

Fill in the blank: Did the kidnapper get it wrong? Did he kidnap Davis thinking she was__________?

The correct answer is Bianca Sanders, wife of Bellissimo Casino owner Richard Sanders.

Yes or No: Everyone in Biloxi, Mississippi is searching for them.

The answer is yes. And no. When the story goes viral, not only is everyone in Biloxi trying to find them, everyone in the Deep South and beyond goes on the lookout for the missing women.

Bonus Question: When help finally arrives, will Davis learn he's no help at all?

The answer is in Double Wide.

What!

That was the funniest craziest conglomeration of words that I have read in a long time. It was positively brilliant. The busiest, funniest book in the series yet. You have inspired me to start writing rambling letters to everyone. You madam are a credit to our gender. Well done.

Way too many people: way too much rambling: way too stupid news girl - really not needed.
Another this bad and I’ll stop purchasing this series

The woman reporter was awful

I liked the story. I think it was the best book in the series so far, but the woman reporter was so nonsensical that I can't figure out why she was in the story. it might have been different if I had been reading the book instead of listening to the audio book but I couldn't understand 90 percent of what she was saying. it was like she was speaking a foreign language. In my opinion her blathering was a complete waste of time.

This was different and perfect.

Super funny. Laughed out loud, too many times to count. A unique way of telling an awesome story. I don't know how you do it. I kept looking at the timer to see how much time was left, dreading the end. Well done Amber Benson, narration was on point.

so, so good!

Every time I listen to the next in this series I'm amazed that somehow it has topped the last, which was also fabulous. The same is true this time around. I love that Ms. Archer has again improved on perfection with a great story, incredible characters and settings, and made me laugh for 8 hours.

Amber Benson is brilliant. She's an amazing actress who also manages to improve on perfection.

Just start at the beginning and enjoy this whole series!

Dialogue, dialogue, and more dialogue...

...I think my least favorite in the entire series b/c the story is 90% people's letters. Narration is great, as usual.

Ingenious Delivery of Plot, But In Slow Motion

I thought I would really enjoy figuring out what was going on by reading emails, news flashes, and web page bits. I did until about halfway through. Perhaps I am impatient, as I read a lot of science fiction and YA fiction. I do really enjoy Amber Benson’s voices. But I do declare after the halfway mark, I really felt as if I were on that island for eight days as well! PS There really are no islands other than Dauphin island in the Gulf near the Alabama coast. Mississippi has some. Anyway, great storyline. However, the whole thing seems as though it will wrap up, but it goes off in another direction. Perhaps that’s what the author meant to do! Still, I didn’t get why Luis was there, or Ty Townes. I guess Townes was a red herring. I may read or listen again. Maybe I didn’t read it slowly enough. Either that or I got so distracted by the valley girl that I zoned out. Still, I have pre-ordered Archer’s new book which has nothing to do with Davis Way.
