Fun diversion from the usual fair

This series by Coln Bateman has been fun and the quirky lead character with all his phobias is a unique bit of work. I enjoy the series, the narration is tremendous and the mystery and cast is well set to provide some diversion and enjoyment. This story is a bit like P.G. Wodehouse crossed with Agatha Christie - if that means anything. There is a true mystery set behind the humor of the main character and the little book shop, in addition the ending is delivered with a flair which the author purposely structures as an ode to "Agatha". I would recommend this story, after reading the first two in the series, which are well worth the price of admission. My feeling is that there will be another tome in the series and I wonder what Mr. Bateman will do to keep the story fresh as the phobias and quirks of the protagonist may become a little stale by then, but so far it has stood up and that is a concern for the future.
