About this listen

Think your dreams are private? Think again.

As a dreamwalker, I can ease your nightmares, inspire creation, or steal memories, all for the small price of a buttload of cash. I need the money to save my mom’s life, and the clock is ticking.

Then a gorgeous illusionist comes into the picture - though those mouthwatering looks may just be his powers in action. He sends me on a job with a major paycheck, but the pucking vampires show up and ruin everything.

As usual, they suck.

Now I’m knee-deep in a murder case where the victims and the perps could all kill me with a snap of their fingers. Throw in a creepy castle, a stinky moat, and a legendary monster, and we’ve got ourselves a party. Especially when the bodies begin to pile up.

My name is Bailey Spade, and if I don’t solve this case, I’m dead.

Dream Walker

I struggled to finish this book. The story was ridiculous. It has promise that was not fulfilled.

New Things to Come!

I’m so excited to learn more about the world this story exists in! I had read the Sasha Urban series (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by the way!) and was itch for more after Bailey was mentioned. So when I found these was whole series around the Dream Walker, I just couldn’t resist! I loved this book! Zales has done it again: drawing in the reader and giving my imagination the sustenance it so craves when listening to a book♥️! I can’t wait to see what this world has in store for the Dream Walker!

Captivating!

This is the first book in the Bailey Spade Series, an Urban Fantasy, and a spin-off of the Sasha Urban Series. The storyline is well written, and original. Some scenes are hilarious! There is a lot going on in this story. Bailey, a dreamwalker, is a fantastic complex character, fun, smart, strong, and determined. The supporting characters are interesting and intriguing. I like Bailey’s partners/friends, Felix and Pam. The world building is original, intricate, and enthralling The storyline is fast paced, and entertaining, filled with intrigue, action, adventure, humor, and twists and turns. The story ends with a cliffhanger, and I can’t wait to listen to Dream Hunter, the next book in the Series. If you like Urban Fantasy, this one is for you!

Using the word puck over and over was annoying

The word puck became so annoying that I almost didn't finish this book. I will not be reading anymore in this series

I guess I'll see you in my dreams? - Kit

Ok Bailey. I see you 🤓👀. Bailey is a great character. She is annoying in the right kind of way. She is not so powerful that her challenges aren't interesting and nor is she one of those cry-baby characters. This is my idea of a good cozy book. The story is a mystery wrapped in comedy with a sprinkle of lusting. Like I said a cozy, fun, light read. Nothing heavy or too serious.

Did I mention a brown main character in a fantasy book? Well, CHECK! 🥰

I did get annoyed with Bailey being a 26 year old virgin? What is it with this obsession writers have with virgins?

This was a good follow-up to the Sasha Urban series. There are LOTS of similarities but easy to ignore if you just want something decent to read. It isnt necessary to read the previous series but you will get more details of the world building and the magic classes in that series.

Narration was good. No issues transitioning into a new main character.

New twist for fantasy plot

A likeable and quirky character leads this book as she uses her powers of dream walking to earn some cash to keep her mom’s hospital bills at bay. There are a few rough transition spots but the interesting plot pulls the listener along. Interested in how the character will develop in future books.

Picking Horrible

If I hear the word puck or picking again it will be too soon. Why would I want to ir have any teen followers listen to a book that every other word is a slang curse word! I made it through the Sasha Urban series but this book just killed me for this author

good book, but can only get about 25% in before turning it off because my ears are bleading. one of the worst audio performances iv ever listend to. the inflections are all wrong at the wrong times. the characters are so mono tone and no since of emotion. which is sad because the book itswlf is great!
