About this listen

From New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Dima Zales, discover an action-packed science-fiction adventure that will keep you listening late into the night.

Mike Cohen has it all figured out. A successful venture capitalist, he’s got billions in the bank, a lifestyle any New Yorker would kill for, and - if he plays his cards right - a shot with his cute, punky coworker. But everything changes when the life-altering technology he's developing lands him in the middle of a global conspiracy, and the only way to save himself, his loved ones, and his tech is to embed the highly experimental Brainocytes in his own brain.

Brainocytes transform the human experience, making you smarter, faster, and more powerful. With enemies at every turn, Mike must use his newly enhanced capabilities to save his family, his friends, and ultimately, the world.

This bundle contains all three audiobooks of the thrilling Human++ trilogy. If you're a fan of science fiction, futuristic technology, witty humor, and edge-of-your-seat adventure, this is the series for you.

It's too bad the author didn't have more creative ideas. The overall story was great, just littered with too many attempts at romanticism that were hard to stomach and so many old worn out twists to make it interesting. Just doing kill that bad guys and quit trying to show how PC your are!

Too much uncreative BS

So the story is good, but I find myself getting annoyed by the bad tech references that shows a cursory understanding at best.
For instance, zek is supposed to be a language in binary to make it faster, by condensing the values down to the smallest binary point. The problem is without an index or depth reference, you are left without a valid key for decoding. It also is not faster for the mind to think in binary, as the mind is not binary, so it would be slower for the mind to resolve.
He also goes on about tertiary operators making code ugly, or a genius coder producing ugly code, I would assert this is not really possible. He has other tech and geek related issues, however he doesn't try to present himself as an expert in those fields, so I roll with those for sake of the story.

Outside of trying to geek out, it is an extreme story, pushing the limits of all stereotypes and tropes, but it's a fun story in between those boundaries.

Overall Great, but "Geek speak" is lacking

Loved all the action in this audio. The story definitely came alive. The chase scenes and the anticipation kept me on edge the whole time.

Thrilling

The first book was good, interesting premise and characters, immersive plot, and overall a great listen. The second and third book, unfortunately, spiral downward with the third book hinging on a plot, or rather how the characters interact with the plot, that’s frustratingly ludicrous - especially given the prior events and how you’ve come to know the characters. I found myself groaning and cursing audibly as the characters, who are written (up to that point) as beyond geniuses, bumble around like absolute dolts. Super disappointing.
I did like the voice actor, though. His range when voicing different characters was more than adequate, though not especially impressive, and without him I wouldn’t have been able to finish this one. Hats off to Mr. Dufris.

mild spoiler alert, but I only read through about chapter 10 before I couldn't go any further so it can't be much of a spoiler.

What kind of person is concerned about what other people think of him in traffic when he's chasing the vehicle that has kidnapped his mother?

I realize that for the rest of the story to go on she Hass to be kidnapped, but come on. it completely breaks reality for me that there can be anyone this week and this incompetent.

Who is this guy…

The author is not very bright. He is a simple minded geek. That is not really a bad thing, but it does not mix with writing scifi. He thinks he can save the world one person at a time, one hug at a time, and rainbow sprinkles and unicorn farts. It is disgusting to see such self inflicted blind ignorance. The weapons tech uses in this book is simply impossible without having tilt and tip sensors embedded on both ends of a firearm. Shooting to wound someone by firing at their legs? You are more apt to kill your target or whatever is behind them than you would by intentional targeting center mass! The live and let live vibe coming from this author is pathetic! When society falls it will be cowards like him that are eaten alive first. Until then their flawed philosophy infects and damages America, what was once the greatest nation in the world. Remember that the high road is simply the last bastion of a coward. The narrator should get a job at walmart as a door greeter because he SUCKS as a voice actor!!

A SUPERB LETDOWN!!! There is better stories on bathroom stalls.

gave up reading it something I do not normally do. way, way too much breaking glass, car chases, explosions, gun battles. written at the 13 or 14 year old boy.

Disappointing. Too much violence and last minute rescue. Lacks depth. I finished the book reluctantly.
