About this listen

The epic finale. It is time to take down the megacorporations once and for all.

The people of B.A. City are ready to throw off the yoke of their oppressors. At last, Moss and his friends are able to take the fight directly to the companies, but are they too late? Their enemy acts first and Moss finds himself having to save the planet before he can free it.

The shadows of his past continue to haunt him and every decision he has made comes into question as Moss enters the final showdown with his former employer. What he wants, and what he is willing to do to get it, plague his malfunctioning mind. Old friends become the key to victory but only if they can survive long enough.

Can Moss finally avenge his parents and set the planet free?

let start off by saying I like the secondary characters and the overall story, as well as the narration. that is what led me to finish the series.

that said, I never felt like the author liked Moss. Moss, as a main character was always in the wrong, even in situations where he would be justified in being upset, he is not allowed to be. By book 7, the main character is supposed to have grown and changed, Moss however, is still portrayed as naive and incapable.

it's hard to root for a MC who gets chastised at every turn for having an opinion or not knowing some specific bit of knowledge. time has supposedly passed in the story, but The only noticeable change in Moss is that he now drinks, smokes, and gets laid.

I finished the story because I enjoyed the side characters in spite of Moss

My only dislike is that it should have ben combined with book 6, as a 4 hour audiobook it was too short for the $ however I was already hooked and needed to see how it ell ended.

Performance and production were just as high quality as the other titles in the series.

Great book but should have been combined with book 6

The story telling is so good that I can see everything in my head as the story is told. I grew to love the characters and the world the author built. I can tell he poured his heart and soul into this book and this saga. The narrator is amazing at expressing the story and breathing life into the characters. this series will always hold a place in my heart. The writing is artistic and beautiful. A must read. It makes me sad it's over but it was perfect. I'm excited for his new series! Congratulations on such an outstanding saga.

An amazing conclusion to an unbelievable saga.

I really enjoyed this series. In my opinion, this book didn’t deliver the type of payoff a reader would expect from a series finally. Felt like this last one lacked a sense of purpose and drive towards a storyline. Unless I completely overlooked something - IMO this ending missed the mark.

Lacking

though Moss accomplished the goal set by his parents in saving the world, i didn't care for how it all ended.
after all they had been through, Moss and Issy could have made it through.
this book felt like the author rushed through to get it done. I'm not saying it was poorly written, just rushed.

is that a good ending?

I was underwhelmed by the ending. The conclusion did not seem to fit the rest of the books in the series.

A fun story

While this series had its issues, it was pure cyberpunk. Victory and loss, in equal measure. Thumbs up.

Fantastic

I really can’t believe the end of the day after everything goes down this way is terrible.

The worst ending

Probably one of the shorter ones of the series and I’ll be honest, it felt rushed. Every other book leading up to this has been a 5/5, but the ending to this didn’t stick the landing for me. I’ll probably re-listen to the first books but I’m not sure I’ll be playing this one again. Having the end was nice but I think over all I wanted more. Great reader as always!

The end of the series

Didn’t see the ending - but it’s a realistic view of what people in power will do to keep that power and what people will do to stop them. In stopping them there is hope to make sure power is evenly distributed to all people. In the end, there are some wins and losses on both sides.

The struggle of Good and Evil
