About this listen

Two murderous Celtic goddesses...a journeyman druid on the run...and a sealed grimoire that holds the key to his survival. Can Colin unlock it in time to save the people he loves?

Colin McCool here, junkyard druid and trouble magnet extraordinaire.

Recently, I fought the giant king of Jotunheim in a bid to save my druid master’s life. I failed in that task - now it’s up to me to keep druidry alive.

Problem is, the Mórrígan and her sorceress sidekick Fuamnach are out to erase me from the face of the Earth.

Sheesh, you steal a few enchanted relics, kill a couple of boyfriends, and suddenly two goddesses want your head on a platter. Go figure.

If I can’t unlock the grimoire my druid master left me, those fae femme fatales are going to rake me over the coals - probably for several long, painful centuries. And if I don’t give myself up, they’ve promised to go after everyone who helped me along the way.

I’m tired of running, and I’m sick of seeing the people I love pay for my beef with the gods. So, it’s time to make my final stand.

The question is, do I have what it takes to unlock the secrets to druid mastery? And will that be enough to stop two of the most powerful goddesses in the Celtic pantheon from destroying me, and everything I hold dear?

Great ending...as a steppingstone

Mr. Massey has written another great story, and the ending to this arc. Mr Barnett is the voice I hear when I think of Colin. Great job on narration, as always. Thank you both for this and the days I have spent listening. I look forward to what is to come.

pn action adventure adult: v, l

PN action with a tiny touch of romance. For fans of Sarina Dorie's Womby's and other fairy & guele stories, Kim Harrison's Hollows-verse series, or seeking a less pornographic version of Merri Gentry stories. Iron Druid universe fans may also enjoy this and related titles from MD Massey. Steven Bennett is also the supremely talented voice actor who handeled various accents, personalities and languages with style and finesse. I lost quite a bit of sleep to this brilliant team and will mourn the end whenever it comes.
Thanks for the wild ride. I look forward to the Trickster series.

Fine

A good ending to a large Chapter of Colin's life.

A mostly fun chance on remeeting most of the series cast and Colin finally comes into his own strengths.

Great narration

I’m sure this series would have been an enjoyable read. As an audio book however, it was an excellent experience. I seldom read anymore, because I can actually multitask when I listen to books, so I have listened to well over 300 books. I also don’t listen to fantasy book much. That all being said, I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed listening to this series. The narrator, Steven Barnett, is an exceptional storyteller, and took what I would rate as a good story and made it excellent! There is no doubt I will be looking for other books narrated by Steven. He is the master of his craft!

This series is worth starting and finishing.

I'm glad I listened to the whole thing. This was a very good series. Plenty of action, cool tricks, and multiple pantheons.
This is the one is the big payoff. Mr. Massey has my thanks. This has all kinds of cool stuff and brought back all the good and bad folk.

If you skip to the last book to see if you want to start, START THIS ONE. It's worth it. Grab it in sets of you can. I bought mine individually and have zero remorse.
