About this listen

Duff MacCallister is heir to a fierce family of fighting Scotsmen. In a new land, in the extraordinary new saga by best-selling authors William W. Johnstone and J. A. Johnstone, Duff gives new meaning to the words without mercy.

The Indians around Fort Laramie, Wyoming are peaceful. Or so it has seemed - until killers ambush a detail of U.S. soldiers and an officer's wife. One man, an ambitious cavalry officer, flees the carnage and lives to tell the story - his own story, an outright lie. When Duff MacCallister and a few brave men go after the attackers, they discover the officer's wife is very much alive and at the cold merciless hands of the sadistic warrior Yellow Hawk.

To free the woman, Duff touches off a fierce battle. And when he finds himself surrounded by the blood-crazed renegades, MacCallister knows there is only one way out - by going after Yellow Hawk himself....

Performed by Mort Shelby, Bradley Smith, Michael Glenn, Steven Carpenter, Nora Achrati, Tim Getman, Christopher Graybill, Christopher Scheeren, Colleen Delany, Eric Messner, Danny Gavigan, Dylan Lynch, Thomas Keegan, David Coyne, Michael John Casey, Nick DePinto, Tim Pabon, David Harris, Matthew Bassett, Terence Aselford, Tim Carlin, Kimberly Gilbert, Joe Brack, Richard Cutting, Casie Platt, Tracy Lynn Olivera, Richard Rohan, Yasmin Tuazon, Ken Jackson, Nanette Savard.

Dry Gulch Ambush

This is one of my favorite books in the Duff series. There all good but this one should be six stars. Duff is taking some cattle to the army. The two main people in the storyline is Scott and his wife Sue. I couldn't stand Scott. He was trying to move up in the army. He treated his wife and everyone awful. Sue gets kidnapped . I won't spoil the book but that's when it gets really good. Also Elmer is in this book helping Duff. He has a bigger role in this book than usual. He finds out he has a son. There is several narrators in this book. I have both versions of this book the abridged and unabridged. Both is good. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.

Real good story line

Duff is growing on me , the Scotland accent is a bit different in a good way of a gun slinger.
