About this listen

This second edition of the supernatural page-turner is revised and expanded. Prepare to be captivated as two worlds collide in the ultimate battle between good and evil.

Eryx, a gifted musician, channels haunting melodies that echo his forgotten godly lineage. When a sinister encounter alters his reality, he finds solace in an enigmatic guardian named Alex, whose alluring presence sparks an inexplicable connection.

Unbeknownst to Eryx, Alex is Hades, sentinel of the Underworld. As he guides Eryx through their intertwined destinies, an undeniable attraction forms, challenging the fabric of their worlds.

Amidst mysticism in contemporary New York, ancient prophecies resurge with encroaching darkness. Their bond becomes a beacon of hope as Eryx’s ancestry awakens and their love deepens. The duo embarks on a quest that will test their resolve, unravel hidden truths, and decide humanity's fate.

Shadowguards is a gay urban fantasy that marries the ordinary with the extraordinary. Where music and shadows converge and the line between mortal and divine blurs, this spellbinding tale explores the complexities of destiny and the unbreakable ties that bind us.

Uninteresting

I usually enjoy this genre of books, but this particular story was really interesting. I kept dozing off.

could be a good story if...

it was narrated by a person, I have listed to several hours and have no idea about the storyline. the miss pronunciations of words or spelling out of others that are sounds, he spelled pfft instead of puffing, and the constant beeping in the background has ruined it for me. I know it's cheaper to use a bot to do the narration but it's lacking. the authors books are always good but the bot is ruining something that could be great.

will not continue series

I love the book and would love to continue reading or listening rather to the series. but I cannot get over the virtual voice. it took me almost 2 weeks to finish this book and I only finished it because I wanted to know the ending. if the AI had inflection it would be completely different but it was so completely monotone unless you were being a very Avid listener you will miss questions and it all reads as one run on sentence and that drives me crazy! if they get an actual narrator I will definitely come back to the series.
