About this listen

An epic battle to survive....

At the end of Edge of Collapse, Luke managed to get within 60 miles of his family's Bug Out Location. As he struggles to make it home, he faces new threats. He teams up with a mysterious stranger to battle the lawless world. Without power, food, or water, they face a grueling uphill battle against the forces of darkness. He'll have to get creative if he wants to survive, but nothing will keep Luke from getting back to his family. Nothing. Not even the people who stand in his way.

Liz struggles to defend the cabin from the preacher and his men. With too much land to cover and not enough resources, she reluctantly teams up with other people in the canyon. Their thread-bare agreement might not hold up under pressure, but it's better than nothing. Post-apocalyptic America is a desolate, dangerous world on the edge of disaster. Unable to trust strangers, family is more important than ever. Liz will do whatever it takes to protect her kids. One day Luke will return home, but until then, she's ready to take up arms against anyone who threatens them.

Edge of Disaster is book two in the thrilling, post-apocalyptic survival prepper, EMP fiction series, American Fallout.

Second book in series

A good read. Plot focuses on the travels and effort to reunite with family. The scenario of civilization’s destruction was too immediate. I concur that our society would unravel but not with the speed in the plot. No Big picture detail provided except list of cities hit.

Good series BUT…

I hate when the main characters in stories like these are supposed ex-seals yet they (Luke) continue to do stupid things. I have more common sense than that! It’s not entertaining it’s just annoying.

Also, the author seems to forget key points. Like the fact that Luke was already taking a course of antibiotics after the bear attack, yet days later after being shot in the leg those antibiotics mysteriously were forgotten and alas another search for antibiotics started. Then there’s the fact Luke also had a long gun, yet later in the book that gun mysteriously also goes missing and he’s left with just his pistol. No explanations. Just a rewrite of annoying proportions.

OMG - I can't listen anymore!

I received this book for free and I still want to return it. The 19 yr old girl who acts like a spoiled 12 year old ruins an already poor story. No one could possibly be that stupid!

Absolute Crap

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I don't know anyone who knows anything about survival who would enjoy this

What character would you cut from Edge of Disaster?

Every female character in this book is so painfully vapid it hurts to listen to it. The incredible amount of moronic decisions they make is almost comical.

Any additional comments?

I listened to the first one, gave them a mulligan on a new series and tried the second.....mistake.
