About this listen
What I’m about to tell you is going to be hard to believe…
The truth has been hidden for a long, long time…
Do you have what it takes to find the truth?
I wasn’t looking for anything. You might be the kind of person who wants to know what’s going on around you, but I was content just doing my job and being left alone. But sometimes life gets messy and the curtain that hides reality from most of us gets pulled back. All I can tell you is… there are some things you can’t unsee. So tread carefully.
What you have in your hands is the true account of Hank Downes. I thought of myself as the average Joe. Turns out, I was about to stumble upon something that would change the course of my life. If I had half a brain I would have realized the significance of it right away, but like most people I was too caught up in my version of the truth. And it nearly cost me everything.
They Walk In Darkness is a supernatural thriller from master storyteller Toby Neighbors. It’s a captivating novel of discovery that you won’t be able to put down. From the very first page it pulls you in and challenges everything you thought about life on planet earth. Are you ready to experience the supernatural? This is one incredible thrill-ride that you won’t be able to put down.
They neither know nor understand,
They stumble around in the dark,
While the foundations of the earth crumble.
Psalm 82:5 New English Translation
They Walk In Darkness is rated PG-13 for mild language and supernatural horror.

It’s 1984, and life has changed beyond recognition. Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain, is a place where Big Brother is always watching, and nobody can hide. The 13 chapters of The Art of War, each devoted to one aspect of warfare, were compiled by the high-ranking Chinese military general, strategist, and philosopher Sun-Tzu. In spite of its battlefield specificity, The Art of War has found new life in the modern age, with leaders in fields as wide and far-reaching as world politics, human psychology, and corporate strategy finding valuable insight in its timeworn words.

Story
Lucas knows the perfect night entails just three things: video games, wine, and pad thai. Peanuts are a must! Other people? Not so much. Why complicate things when he’s happy alone? Then one day the apartment board, a vexing trio of authority, rings his doorbell. And Lucas’s solitude takes a startling hike. They demand to see his frying pan. Someone left one next to the recycling room overnight, and instead of removing the errant object, as Lucas suggests, they insist on finding the guilty party. But their plan backfires. Colossally.

a little preachy
I didnt realize how much religion would be in this boom. It was a well written story, the narration was good but could be better if read by an actual person, the inflection was a little off. over all good but I would add religion as part of the synopsis.

Current situation.
Book was written in current times. Situation is realistic and relatable. Urgency to submit yourself to God is apparent.

Left behind meets X Files.
This story is absolutely wonderful. I love it, and Tony Neighbors has definitely made it to my top 5 favorite authors. The Ai reading this is a little choppy at times, but surprisingly good. We need more authors and stories like this. It truly is manna to my soul.

Relevance & Truth
I have tried to explain these truths with friends & family, most of the time to no avail.
I am blue in the face. So ty, these truths maybe hard to hear for some. For me it’s quite refreshing. Thank you

very action pact, not boring
the story line is great and the scripture of the Bible is true. Can you please add a little more emotion or have the voice have different pitch to it. With the AI it can be very boring or lull you to sleep. just saying
