[Contains mature themes] What began as an eight-year affair between two women has stretched into a 19-year partnership. One for almost every couple!

Two to three amazing insights left me with that "aha" feeling strong enough to inspire me to infuse it with my current self and relationships. In this episode Esther identifies and describes how resentment and shame about how a relationship started can be projected into how you feel and treat your partner, overshadowing the appreciation and love. She discusses how hiding the obvious creates a space of silence, preventing those around you from connecting due to their fear of discomforting you with conversation that could lead into your discomfort zone. She also discusses how a parent/child relationship between two adults will kill intimacy and she points out the dynamics of how one can trigger the other into the role that can lead into a constant back and forth reaction.

Good but far less relatable

Usually there's something in "Where Should We Begin" that I can relate to. There are a lot of flaws, insecurities, and repressions that ring some part of my neurotic brain. Of all my problems that need work, nothing in this one resonated with me. It sounds like a lovely couple and I'm glad they're getting the help they need, especially the one who originally left her husband and who clearly needs more guidance. This episode just wasn't as valuable to me personally.
