In today's economic and political climate, protecting yourself means asking the right questions. You can't ask the right questions if your mind's encumbered by what you think you may understand. Who's the man behind the curtain? What's this thing we call money? It's not what you think. We've burdened government with all our problems but do they have the capacity to solve them? Do we want them to?
What's the difference between freedom "of" and freedom "from" and why's it important? Why is this one of the most important questions you can ask? I'm putting out an APB for critical thinking skills. We need these skills at this important juncture in our nation's history. Is our political division a permanent condition? What's the one thing we all have in common? Information isn't lacking these days, which is why our ability to sift purposefully through it is critical.
Prepare to meet the future. It always arrives sooner than expected. Are you ready?

Using the metaphor of a shop in an ancient bazaar, Mr. Mosquera walks us through time and function to give us a unique perspective into what was and what is. but subtly implying that it is the reader ... and all the rest ... who will determine what will be. He gives us the data to enrich our knowledge but leaves it to us to define wisdom.
Clear, Pragmatic Look at the American Condition

It's too complex to listen at once. You need time to do soAny additional comments?
I don't agree with all of it. Reading the assent of money can help. There are still many controversial ideas that I need to processThe economy complexity

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?
I enjoyed the information provided in simplistic terms. There were patches of humour throughout, preventing it from sounding like a dry lecture.Any additional comments?
I used to converse daily with several other educated friends. This book reminded me of some of the deep discussions we would engage in. Some points are so basic, even fundamental, it's baffling not everyone sees and understands it.Other topics were new - almost foreign to me - but the author/narrator made it easy to listen to and follow.
I truly enjoyed this books and its insights. Thank you for a well writen and descriptive book. The examples were elementary, without being juvenile!
An Intelligent Conversation Piece!
