Publisher's summary

In Every Little Step, Brown will for the first time tell the full story of his life and set the record straight, particularly about his relationship with Whitney Houston.

Bobby Brown has been one of the most compelling American artists of the past 30 years, a magnetic and talented figure who successfully crossed over many musical genres, including R&B and hip-hop as well as the mainstream. In the late 1980s, the former front man of New Edition had a wildly successful solo career - especially with the launch of Don't Be Cruel - garnering multiple hits on the Billboard top 10 list as well as several Grammy, American Music, and Soul Train awards.

But Brown put his career on hold to be with the woman he loved: American music royalty Whitney Houston. The marriage between Brown and Houston was perhaps the most closely watched and talked about marriage of the 1990s - a pairing that mesmerized the public and the gossip industry. Now, for the first time, the world will be able to hear the truth from the mouth of America's "bad boy" himself.

Raw and powerful, Every Little Step is the story of a man who has been on the top of the mountain and in the depths of the valley and who is now finally ready to talk about his career and family life, from the passion and the excess to his creative inspirations and massive musical success.

On the process of writing this book, Bobby says, "Right after I signed on to write my story, I went through one of the most agonizing traumas I had ever experienced with the death of my daughter. But I was surprised by how therapeutic it was to work on this project, to look at the entire arc of my life and to realize that although there has been considerable pain, I have also been incredibly blessed. I hope my fans and other listeners of this book will be entertained by this trip into the crazy, exciting, fascinating world of Bobby Brown. And I hope they will feel that I have been as honest and open with them in these pages as I have tried to be my entire life."

Keep Climbing Bobby

My heart goes out to Bobby because he just showed through his eyes and writing that there is more to a story then the media and those with agendas can convey. the story was done in the first person with all of the realism and factual information we need to allow this man the right and the respect to live his journey Without Shame or hurt.

Bobby I don't know if you read these reviews but I want you to know something my heart goes out to you for all your losses for all the trials and tribulations that you had to experience some through self induced some just the reality that played out around you.

you still have a mission it is to help those that are unheard that hurt daily from the throes of those they love that are going through addiction.

the journey is your wisdom to help apply the balm need it by so many of those they have always supported you and even those that don't like you.

Dope book, his story is so full of ups and downs. You think that fame, money, glitz and glamour is every thing but Bobby Brown definitely paid the price smh.

Gotta Love Bobby

If you could sum up Every Little Step in three words, what would they be?

Raw, honest and sad.

What other book might you compare Every Little Step to and why?

I don't think there are any other books like this because there are no other people like Bobby and Whitney!

How could the performance have been better?

Bobby browns reading was a bit choppy, as if he was reading the book for the first time. I became a bit lost at time and had to rewind. The verbage didn't flow well.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When bobby spoke about his regrets with Whitney and how he was trying to save her. I really believe he wanted a very different life and it was very hard for him to leave her after all they had gone through.

Any additional comments?

I wish that Bobby would not have spoken of situation that involved individual that are no longer with us (not including Whitney). They are unable to defend themselves or give their opinions. However, books are for healing and I hope it helped him to heal
