About this listen

Ellie Garrett never planned on being a divorced, single mother - she also never planned to get married again. Ever. Her ordinary life changes when the house across the street is sold. The new owner is Nick Coulter - quarterback and MVP for the Sacramento Defenders. Oh yeah, he's also one of People magazine's top 100 most beautiful people and America's most eligible bachelor. So why would she pick him to have her first crush on since her divorce?

Recently retired from the NFL, Nick is more than ready to find a wife and start a family. He's tired of his high-profile lifestyle and moves to Pleasant Wood, Colorado, hoping to finally settle down and focus on his foundation Kids Come First. It would just feel nice to be a normal guy. Of course being rebuffed by Ellie the first few times he meets her makes him feel a little too normal.

As Nick and Ellie become acquainted, their mutual attraction is hard to ignore. But Ellie's been hurt before by her womanizing ex-husband. She's not sure that Nick has left behind his playboy reputation. Can she risk falling in love with the celebrity football player or will she miss her chance at scoring big in the game of love?

Great listen!!

Great listen! Loved the development of the characters and the story line. A story that you hate to see end.

Sweet!!!

Another wonderful story by Ms. Anderson! If you enjoy a sweet, romantic book, this is one is for you! This is a story about finding love the second time around. I loved all the joking around between the H and h, not to mention all the romantic kisses!! This is a keeper!!

Review of fair catch

Well written and compelling. The storyline kept me involved through the entire book. Clean romance is something I love to read and greatly appreciate. Thank you for making the characters so genuine.

Not such a fair catch...

I am an avid reader and love many different types of books but this one did not measure up for me. It started off ok but as I got more into it, it sounded like immature kids trying to act like adults but failing miserably!
The main heroine was SO immature it made me sick! I kept rolling my eyes or thinking to myself, what is she 12??!
I wouldn't waste money to read this let alone a credit.

I couldn't finish.

First off, this is a romance written to appeal to Christians. I was unaware of that. Even so, I've read Christian fiction with engaging characters and storylines that hooked me from start to finish. This is not one of those books. The characters are two dimensional, the romance is founded on nothing more than looks and shared faith, and the non Christian characters are all hateful caricatures of human beings. No. Just, no.

Wow

Shallow simplistic and formulaic
. With just a little effort this could have been an okay book.
