Publisher's summary

A poignant story of two estranged sisters from the New York Times best-selling author of the Tradd Street novels.

At 20, Cassie Madison left her hometown of Walton, Georgia, for New York City, where she has reinvented herself - from losing herself in her career to squashing her accent. But one night a single phone call brings back everything she's tried to forget. She hasn't spoken to her sister since Harriet stole Cassie's fiancé and married him. But now Harriet's on the line with news that their father is dying.

As she makes the trip back, the only thing that frightens Cassie more than losing her father is seeing Harriet and the family that should have been hers. But she can't help loving her nephews and nieces any more than she can help feeling at home again in Walton. As she fights a surprising reaction to a forgotten friend and faces an unexpected threat to the family she'd once left behind, Cassie comes to realize that moving on doesn't always mean moving away from who you are.

Very good story

The story held my interest and was very refreshing and wholesome. Great narration. Only a couple of unbelievable or corny situations but not bad.

A heartwarming story of the power of family.

After reading the Tradd Street series I wanted to read more of Karen White's writing. Finding Falling Home was an absolute treat. It is a heartwarming story of a woman's return to home and discovering the joy of family. Karen White always does an amazing job of making the read feel they are at the location of the story. You can feel the heat and the humidity of this small southern town. Her characters are loveable. You want to sit on the front porch swing with a glass of lemonade and get to know them. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, and have to admit, I ugly cried at the end. The narrator did a wonderful job of capturing the voices. She does a fantastic job. Just a wonderful story with all the feels.

Great story!

This is the first time I've listened to Lyssa Browne and she is very good. Her southern accents were great although she doesn't do make voices very convincingly, but all in all, very good.

Loved it!

This was a beautiful multi faceted book. Written in a Nicholas Sparks style. Sensitive, suspenseful, realistic. Would definitely recommend.

I

The book started out a little like a hallmark story, that is very predictable. Then it took a very interesting turn and I really enjoyed it.

Love Is Complicated

My emotions volleyed back and forth like the final game at a Wimbledon tennis match. They were all over the place! When I say it has "never" happened in my reading life that I truly did not like the main female character of a story, this is the truth. I found Cassie so selfish and difficult to like. Thank goodness for grace and good 'ole southern forgiveness, so that by the end of the book she had redeemed herself... somewhat.

This was a really wonderful story of youth, family, mistakes, differences, forgiveness and most of all love. Love doesn't heal all or cure all, but it sure makes life and the trails we encounter more bearable.

Interesting family dynamic.

I enjoyed this book, the small town, the people. I laughed and cried. Even a mystery to solve. I recommend this book.

The sweetness of the story.

Overall, I liked this book. It definitely kept my attention. I was very sad about the sister of the main character. The story itself was predictable, but the ending was upbeat!👍🏻
