About this listen

Danielle and Wes have been best friends since college, so when Wes needs a date for his sister's wedding and Dani needs a partner for her company's retreat, they devise the perfect plan: a fake engagement to get through both events unscathed.

Adrenaline-junkie Wes can prove to both his ex and his family that he's well and truly moved on, and serious-minded Dani can prove to her boss that she's worthy of the promotion he seems to only want to give to a family-oriented employee. But amid the fake swoons, fake kisses, and forced proximity, neither expects the very real feelings that develop.

There's nothing more dangerous than falling for your best friend... but what if the landing is worth the fall?

BFF 4EVER TO BFF IN LOVE 4EVER 💗💗💗

best friend's since college, Dani and Wes are both single living in separate states but speak to each other religiously on the phone. Both dealing with a break up in different stages, they have events they need to attend that require a plus one. Dani has a kind of company picnic she must attend in order to secure a promotion. Wes has his sister's wedding where his own ex-girlfriend is in the wedding party and his family keep harassing him to move on. 💡💡💡 These two bestie decide to do what friends do and have each other's back, let's pretend to be engaged. Who cares that they've been secretly carrying a torch for each other since college. I kind of loved this book because Dani and Wes are hilarious together. Wes is the jokester and daredevil and Dani is the voice of reason. This makes them perfect for each other. So everything should be fine right…. HA! Turns out hiding your feelings is a lot harder when you're face to face and the lies they tell to keep their story straight just makes it worse. I cried a little bit with this book. Really sweet and heart-warming. Really great start to the series.

Very anticlimactic.

Spoiler alert :

I’ll be completely honest- I usually love books like this. I have read so many books about a friends to lovers, but this was so dull. I like books that pull me in, and this just didn’t. It was well written, but the characters who seemed to be best friends for years, YEARS, kept hem hawing and never understanding that the other was flirting? When there was one hour left to the book, was when they finally had their first real kiss that wasn’t around anyone, and they both say they love each other, she was avoiding him because of his ex, but when he says he wants her, not his ex, she rejects him? And I’ve never understood that friends kiss or catch feelings, and then say they don’t want the friendship to change, when it does whether you’d like it to or not, because that’s what happens when you catch feelings for someone, things change for one or both parties, so to use that as an excuse so hard is dumb to me. This book could have been cut by 80percent, and it would have seriously been better, instead of it just dragging on.

Angst too drawn out

Would have like this not to have been so drawn out with the angst and to have more story about what happened and how things were worked out!

It was okay

It was okay, not the best story lines. Definitely not the best narrator. She sounded like she had candy in her mouth the whole time, I’m not gonna recommended this one to anyone. Thankfully I didn’t use my credits on it.

Good story, cute, pg rated

I liked the story, loved the style and intelligence of the writing. My only minus 1 star was from the view point of the FMC being dragged out too long. I didn't feel that was realistic.

Narration good.

Adorable

Adorable sweet listen. Just enough drama to be a little different than the others of this genre. But, not too much drama to make it too deep. An easy listen snd sweet story.

Unsatisfactory resolution

The story started out fine, especially the tension it provided. However, the conclusion of the breakup fight, accident, and resolution left me unhappy. It was just too much. It felt forced beyond belief. Not pleasant.

Cute and clean

Cute story - because it was predictable - I think it dragged on and could have been shorter.

predictable

pretty predictable. I did not like the narrator trying to do a southern accent, just ok.
