What does love matter if it doesn't last forever?

Nicolas is traveling down some dark roads. Ever since he came home from his last deployment to a cheating wife and a bastard baby, nothing has been the same. With his divorce freshly inked, his mind shattered, and nowhere safe left to land, all Nicolas has is the G-MIL support group...and Jaren.

It would be a mistake to think that bright, vibrant, funny Jaren could make everything okay again. After all, Nicolas has never so much as kissed a man before him. But as their bonds of friendship grow stronger, so does the trust building in Nicolas' heart.

Trust in Jaren. Trust in love. And the trust he'll make it back from his dangerous new deployment alive.

Falling for His Friend is the fourth audiobook in the Soldier's Support Group series, although it can be listened to as a stand-alone audiobook. The army might give these guys some tough choices, but each audiobook in the series delivers a guaranteed happily ever after!

Love this series!

Lance Adams has done a great job with the series.

I really enjoyed the story of Nicolas and Jaren. The fact that the relationship first started as a friendship made the story that more interesting. It was easy to see from the start the care they had for each other. They deserved a HEA. So far this is my favorite book of the series.

Great read

Love this series! Every story is individual but the same characters flow into each one.

enjoyed it.

Would I listen to it again: yes
Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes
Was there anything that didn't work for me? nope - all good.
What did I like about the story? good pace, great characters and an interesting story. There are a lot of emotions in this book. My heart broke for Nicolas at his wife's despicable actions. I'm happy that Nicolas and Jaren's relationship started as friendship as it makes it feel that much stronger - these guys deserve a chance at happiness.

Narrator comment: Lance Adams has done a reasonable job narrating Falling for His Friend. I felt the emotions of the story and the book was bought to life. That being said, I would have liked a stronger difference in the sound of the main characters voices, it felt like the personalities of each character are what gave them a different voice more so than the individual sound and at times it was difficult to tell them apart.

Couldn’t put it down.

This is the fourth book in the Soldiers Support Group with developed characters. Nicolas and Jaren are both army buddies with different takes on army life. Nicolas and Jaren meet and become friends through the G-MIL support group. Nicolas is going through a nasty divorce and Jaren is the one he turns too. The truth about how much a despicable person Nicolas Ex-wife comes to light when Jaren finds out about the abuse, she is putting Nicolas thru. The emotional tole had Nicolas ready to give up when Jaren shows him there is more to life. The friendship grows in love and really showcases the care they had for each other. The true friendship that they all have through the G-MIL support group is really showcased in this book. I love this series. This is a great story about love and friendship. The narration was very well done.

Nicolas and Jaren

This was a lovely gay for you story. Nicolas's struggle to deal with his ex-wife is the catalyst for him to reach out for a friend. His self-esteem has been eroding to the breaking point. Jaren gives Nicolas his friendship and support. When they cross the line with a kiss, Nicolas doesn't look back. Jaren is a sweetheart. He'll do whatever he can to make Nicolas happy. The way all their friends jump in to help one another made me really see the family that they have all made.

Audiobook: Great narrator.

YOUR TRUE SELF WILL ALWAYS COME OUT

I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review

Another wonderful story by Jamie June depicting the troubles and worries of our soldiers. This one deals with Nicolas finding out and no longer denying that he is gay and Jaren helping him through it. I am in awe of the G-MIL group for going to the lengths they do to protect Nicolas. I was also dumbfounded to know that people like Anna exist. The characters are very well portrayed.

I loved the narrator and his voice changes to fit the characters’ moods.

hard won happiness

My heart hurt for Nicolas and all that his ex Anna put him through. She was a mercenary soulless witch! I loved how supportive of each other all the men were- true friends! I was very happy that Nicolas and Jaren got together, because they deserved their happiness. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this story and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job.

Sweet Continuation

This is a sweet continuation of the series. Maybe a little to out there with the relationship progression but still fun. The narration is done ok, not the greatest but not terrible. Overall not the best of the series but a good listen.

The vet's Pets

A plesant story of two army buddys who fall in love. After over coming ex-wife problems they are able to establish a relationship closer than just friends. This could have been a Hallmark sorry if they did M/M romance. I was underwhelmed with the readers voice and since he used one voice throughout I wasn't always sure who was speaking.
