About this listen

Filthy mouth. Dirty mind. Messy past. I'm no saint, and I hear my reputation precedes me, but you can't believe everything people say.

I've made a living playing by the rules only when the clock is ticking, the ball has been snapped, and I'm cleat-deep in AstroTurf. But I screwed up last year. I went too far with the girls and the partying and the benders. As a result, the team owner sentenced me to live in some gated, Floridian retirement village until I can "calm down".

The rules are clear: no girls, less booze, zero publicity stunts. If I lay low and repair my reputation, I won't get cut. It's that simple. Everything was going well. For the first time in my life, I was living by someone else's rules, and then she showed up for the summer.

My next door neighbor's great niece is visiting, and it doesn't take long for me to see Delilah Rosewood is the perfect mix of sexy and smart. She makes me want to break all the rules and draw every penalty just to get a taste. But there's one problem: she hates me with the passion of a thousand Florida suns.

Spanking hot with humor!

This is Delilah Rosewood's story. Zane is the professional football player on house arrest in a retirement community. Delilah is helping her aunt pack up her home for selling purposes. She is a good girl, obeying all the rules. He is the complete opposite. They have a hate-relationship until they can't stop their attraction for one another. She learns to live life a little with Zane. The alpha in him is hot! The conflict could have been avoided. Low drama. I like this series but Royal (book 1) is still my favorite. Narration was great. It was worth my credit.

GOOD...BUT PREDICTABLE!!!

It was funny, and entertaining but I could sort of figure out where it was going after a while. Winter Renshaw, is a wonderful author and I love her books...but I didn't love this one. (((SPOILER))) I had a hard time liking the antagonist (Zack). What his ex- went through because of his irresponsibility (though non intentional), was beyond life altering. I wished he was held more accountable for his actions. Don't get me wrong his life was altered too, but not the same way as his ex-. Though he carried the guilt with him for quite some time, he was able to move on and love someone new. His ex- couldn't and I think that happens too often in novels. The cliché 'Bad-Boy' gets away with murder, and the 'Good-girl' gets stuck with a raw deal. I'd like to see a different narrative on that. (Just my POV) . Other than that, I liked to book and the series. Very entertaining.

De la Cruz and his arrogrant and cocky self

Loved the summer fling that eventually turned to something more serious and the drama that came with it.

Summer Lovin.....

.... met a girl crazy for me.... met a boy cute as could be....

Filthy was funny, cute and had some steamy romance. There's a HEA, no cliffhanger, and could easily be read as a stand alone. What I enjoyed most, was all the sexy, witty banter between Delilah and Zane and how he would get under her skin.

Some Spoilers:
Zane's a confident, sexy, dirty talking "baller" who's been sent to a retirement community in FL to clean up his act. His lifestyle and total disregard for the Laguna Palm's Home Owner's Association isn't winning him any points with the present of the HOA, who happens to be Delilah's great aunt, Rue. Delilah's more of an uptight college student who's staying with her great aunt during the summer. She's been warned about Zane's "personal mission to live a life of hedonistic defiance." When she first arrives in Laguna Palms, all she wants is a good night sleep but Zane, her great aunt's next door neighbor, is throwing a party. In an attempt to get the party noise down to an acceptable level, she goes over to Zane's (a very sexy Zane) asking for the party to be taken inside. He tells Delilah he won't do it and she's too young to be the fun police. She leaves slamming the door and this is the first of their love/hate relationship. Zane can't resist riling Delilah, and each encounter turns into sexual tension. When they finally give into their desires, they have some amazing sex and decide to make it a summer fling.

The narration was great! I enjoyed both Roger Wayne's and Lidia Dornet's performances. Dornet really did an awesome job with characters, especially Delilah's great aunt.

While Filthy wasn't as intense as other romances I listen too, it was still a good story, and the banter was both funny and sexy. It's worth a credit.

Best narrating duo I have ever listened to!

These 2 were by far the best duo out of the 4 books in this series. I have listened to 100s of audio books and have heard most of the narrators in this genre. Roger Wayne has the sexiest voice! Lidia Dornet has a great voice too and sounds so natural. They are both terrific actors. I truly can't say enough about them.

I really liked Zane and Delilah's story. They are great characters. I'm pretty sure I liked them so much because of the narrators!

Okay

I definitely like this one the least.. I had better hopes for Delilah, but she was getting on my nerves & is boring… her sister seems fun tho..

Underwhelmed

While I thought the premise of the story was pretty interesting, it was very difficult for me to invest emotionally.

I was familiar with the h, as I’d read the other books in the series. I however, didn’t enjoy the character in those initial introductory moments.

This story did nothing to improve my impression. The h came across as overly sensitive, immature and entitled.

I also didn’t care for the female narrator. There was a quality in her voice that sounded like maybe she had too much spit in her mouth. It made my ears hurt.
