Publisher's summary

I don’t think I deserve a second chance.

Eight years ago, my best friend Griff walked out of my life.

It wasn’t his fault. He came out of the closet and his parents told him to get lost. He was looking to me for a plan, some support - but I let him down. It doesn’t matter that I was just a kid myself. I should have been there for him.

I gave up hoping that he would get in touch, even just to let me know he was alright. So when I saw him back in town scoping out real estate for his art gallery, I was shocked - and so damn hopeful I couldn’t think straight.

I might not deserve him, but I never stopped loving him. And this time? I’ll do anything it takes to stand up for him - even if it costs me my job.

Finding His Second Chance is the third audiobook in the contemporary Benson Brothers series. Set in the small town of Bennett Wood, North Carolina, you won’t want to miss out on these sweet and steamy love stories! This audiobook, and every audiobook in this series, can be enjoyed as a standalone title.

Worth listening

I loved the story, loved how two men fight for a second chance, fight for acceptance and understanding and definitively for love. And I love Gage McKenna voice although I feel that there should be a bit more of emotion. But in the overall, a great listening!

loved it!

Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Were there any parts I found annoying: no
Did I feel an emotional connection to the characters: yes
Would I listen to it again: yes

Finding His Second Chance is a great addition to the Benson Brothers Series. As with all these books, the pace is good the characters interesting and story is enjoyable. I particularly enjoyed the way some of the town's people gathered to help Griff and the epilogue with Griff and Alex giving out blankets & food while they searched out Jerico to give him a second chance.

I find Gage McKenna really easy to listen to and think he has done a great job bringing this book to life. Each Character's personality comes through, all the emotions are there and I was completely immersed in the audio experience.

I look forward to the next one.

second chance

Griffin was selfish the first time around, but I liked his growth after lots of time!! After a second chance and growth both men learned a great deal, and I liked that. I enjoyed all the emotions this one packed in. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.

There's No Place Like Home

Finding His Second Chance is a best friend to lovers trope. Alex and Griff had been best friends through high school. Alex was known for his plans, and when Griff was thrown out of his home for coming out, he ran to Alex for help.

Alex had never faced a life changing event like that and didn't know what to do. Griff took Alex's shock as a lack of support and ran away.

Eight years later Griff returns to his small home town. The story relates how Griff's return affects the town, his parents, his friends, and Alex. It can be read as a standalone, and has adventures and misunderstandings before the HEA.

Narrator Gage McKenna is a pleasure to listen to, pacing the story well, and making it easy to follow the characters. I want to meet all of the brothers as they find their own happiness.

**Love always wins**

Gage McKenna did a great job with this story.

This second chance romance was wonderful. The MC's were best friends growing up. One of them was kicked out of their house for coming out. He assumed his best friend would be on board with running away from the narrow minded people in their small town. This wasn't' the case and the refusal to leave, abruptly ended the friendship.

After 8 years with no contact, they run into each other downtown. The cautious courtship that follows is amazingly well developed.

If you like small town second chance romances, this is a book for you!

Second Chance/Friends to lovers

I love this small town and these group of brothers. This is a sweet pretty low angst second chance/best friends to lovers story. It's also about coming home and finding things can change and maybe weren't what you thought they were. McKenna does a great job with the narration making this an truly enjoyable listen.

A POIGNANT LOOK INTO GAY TREATMENT BY SOCIETY

I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review

Alex Beson and Griffin Hill had a falling out at the age of eighteen because of Griffin’s parents disowning him and kicking him out of the house when he came out of the closet. Eight years later, they meet again and the homophobia in town still exists. I almost cried at the way Griffin’s family treated him. Not being of the LGBTQ community, it hit me hard as to how the similarities in the race issue come to mind; except for the fact that you still have family on your side. A very deep look into the problems and treatment of the gay society.

The narration was excellent.

Couldn’t put it down

This is the third book in the Benson Brother Series with well-developed characters (second chance). This is the story of Alex and Griffin who were best friends in high school. When Griffin comes out to his parents he gets thrown out and the two friends were not mature enough to handle it and had a falling out. Eight years later they meet again when Griffin comes back to town. This time both men are mature enough to stand up on their own for what they believe in and for each other. I loved how the town rallied around Griffin in his time of need after his bigot family tried to ruin his dreams. I cannot wait for the next book in this series. The narration was very well done.
