About this listen

This fourth book in the Seeing Jesus series introduces Karl Meyer, whose retirement becomes a lonely prospect when his wife leaves him and his dog dies. Such losses might test one’s sanity. That’s what Karl assumed was happening when he began to hear noises, and then voices, in his old house. Though dizzying at times, what follows fills Karl’s home with beloved companions and hope for the future.

Love this series

I am not going to tell you what this book is about or the series. I encourage you to listen to all of the books. Being with Jesus in the flesh gives the reader a great deal of insight. This book is humorus and revealing. You won't be sorry you listened to all the books. I promise!

A very rich “God with us” story spiritually and a perfect recording.

Jeffrey Jones is among the authors whose writings are so packed with vital truth that multiple readings (listening) often are more enjoyable than the first. In the “Seeing Jesus” series Mr Jones showcases his writing skill, imagination, and love and knowledge of God by applying the same life event to characters of diverse ages and backgrounds. You might expect repetition of this plot 9 times would get boring. The exact opposite was experienced in my case. As each new book has been released, my expectations have increased along with my confidence in his writing skill . Each character has a different way of handling the shock of a tangible encounter with the Divine. I get the greatest pleasure out of the conversations, which of course are so interesting and different for an unchurched 8 year old character and an 80 year old church lady. The same lesson is taught in all the series books: that Jesus loves living in us, interacting with us multiple ways, and that once we have accepted and invited Him to dwell in us He never leaves us. The series was not only life changing but was joyful to hear and read. The audio recording was so good that it would be difficult to explain how reading the book in paper for the second time and listening for the 3rd read were different.
I received an ARC copy from the author. The above views expressed are completely my own.
