Wanted to like it but narration was off

What did you like best about Gift of Time? What did you like least?

Interesting story line. I like fantasy and magic but the narrator ruined it for me. I felt like the story was being read to me by my aunt...anyone's aunt. Her voice and inflection didn't connect me to the story.

What aspect of Karen Anton’s performance would you have changed?

This just wasn't the right book for her.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Didn't make it through the whole book. Doubtful.

Wonderful!

I really enjoyed this unique and tender story, as well as the narrator. It is seemingly simple, but weaves in a little funky time travel with race, gender and sexual orientation themes, along with a touching romance. It warmed my heart and was very engaging.

Snow Globe

At first I was torn by the Time Travel events. The music and blast of color helped my vision of it all. Do I believe in time travel? Any thing is possible, look at our president. Thanks for the great read. This book peaked my imagination. Off to my next adventure.

Gift of Time

I enjoyed every minute of this well-crafted plot.
The narration was difficult. It was hard to know who was speaking. For having been set in the South, there were no accents. That was the only thing that put me off.

A Touch of the Fantasy Genre; It Doesn't Help

If you love lesbian romance, time travel, and a reader that sounds as if she's reading her first audiobook this is the selection for you. Throw in some requisite political correctness this early novel by an excellent writer is decidedly mediocre; a pale facsimile of some of the books that followed this one. Both of the lead characters are humble, conscientious, and want only the best for each other. The time travel aspect isn't the only, or even the most contrived aspect of this book. As I mentioned earlier the narrator for this audio further depresses an already poor work of fiction; she has to have one of the more grating monotones that I've had to listen to. I have a big problem recommending this book even though she wrote one of my all-time favorites (Just Jorie) I'm so glad her writing improved.

Great book. Great Audible.

I read this story many years ago. When I came across it again I decided to see if it was on Audible. I was happy to find it in the Romance package. I enjoyed it just as much. It's a fun story with great characters. Well worth the time.

A thrilling romance

A story of love through time. It totally captures your imagination and takes you along on the roller-coaster ride. Giving thrills and chills to reach the end. Aswering an age old question. Does love really conquer all.

Terrible narrator!

One of the worst narrators I've ever heard on audible. Monotone with zero inflection and emotion. Didn't get past 5 minutes
