About this listen

This is another book in the Walking in the Rain series, but from a different perspective.

David Metcalf is trying to survive after the lights went out and the aircraft circling the Dallas and Forth Worth metro area fell to earth. With nothing to stop the firestorm that ensues, the city and neighboring suburbs burn. The conflagration is only one part of the problem; people are running out of water and food and willing to kill their fellow man to get it. David needs to find someplace safe where he can protect his family, but he discovers that there are things at play behind the scenes to keep the misery going.

Follow David as he navigates the dangers in this new land where anyone could be a potential threat.

entertaining read

while not exactly realistic, this is an entertaining series. it was a little difficult to keep up with all of the characters and their backstories. would love if the last 2 books had audiobook companions.

another great book!

Geat addition to the series and i loved the book. I am hoping there will be another book soon. I will say that i was thrown off until the end how this story related to the first books in the series. Guess it kept me guessing and on my toes. Then i finally realized who they were and how they related. Loved the characters and that a teacher saved his students when he didn't have to. This book has lots of action and moving parts that kept it interesting. The narrarator was also great and brought the characters to life for me. Great book and great addition to my library. Cant wait for the next one.

Vikas Adam brings this story to Life

I thoroughly enjoyed Book 5 the most, it grips you from start to finish. The narrator, Vikas Adam, did a great job and you could picture what was happening as the story unfolds as he brings the story to life. You will not be disappointed :-)

fantastic narrator

it was a great story about David. I like how it ties into the series. The narrator was fantastic, his voice a mixture of the voice of Archer with the humor and Deadpool dry humor. The story plus narrator, is an A++
