About this listen

Two hearts. One Wedding. Five Days. My name is Allison Jenkins and I need a fiancé for five days.

I know how desperate that sounds, because it is. You see, after my college boyfriend and I broke up, he recovered swiftly, and is now - gasp - engaged to someone else. Our group of friends from college are going to Cancún for a five day destination wedding of our mutual friend this spring. All of my friends are bringing their husbands, fiancés, and/or boyfriends. So I’ll be the single girl hanging out at the bar with all of the single aunts drinking margaritas. (Which doesn’t sound too awful, by the way.) The awful part will be watching my ex flaunting his hot, new, younger fiancée in front of me. Basically, I need a plan - stat - so these five days don’t suck.

Enter my coworker, Jocko Brewer. Handsome playboy and charmer of the ladies. Number two sales rep in the entire company already - at age 29. And, surprisingly, the guy I get along with best in the office. Though, I have to admit, he is the definition - most times - of arrogance. If he’s crazy enough to agree to my little Cancún plot and act like we’re engaged, I’d be happy.

But there’s just a little teensy-weensy problem that happens when we’re in Cancún. This fiancé role-playing bit?Well, we both start taking it just a wee bit too seriously. Who would have thought that so much could happen in five days?

Hot! Hot! Hot!

I just finished listening to Five Day Fiance and it was amazing! I had already read the book but listening to it was completely different. Savannah Peachwood and Joe Arden really brought it to life. They were perfect. I was able to really feel the story as it was playing out. It was hot, sexy, happy, funny, and did I already mention hot!!! Allie and Jocko had some amazing chemistry. Their chemistry was oozing off the pages! Let me say, Mickey Miller knows how to write a story that will grab your attention and hang on to it until the very end. I absolutely loved this book!!!

Enjoyable ride from beginning to end

I went into this story knowing the romance between the main couple was going to happen quickly since the main section took place over five days, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much backstory the relationship between Allie and Jocko had. Their prior friendship brought a new level to the story and I loved their interactions outside of the bedroom even more than the ones in the bedroom. Allie was very relatable from feeling undervalued at work to her messed up feelings about seeing her ex with his new flame. Jocko was just fun and Joe Arden did a great job bringing this larger than life character to life.

Fun and Entertaining

Having read only one other book by Mickey Miller, I was interested to listen to this one as the blurb intrigued me; I found this book entertaining and fun to listen too.

Allison Jenkins is desperate and needs a date for five days as she is determined not to be the only single woman at a destination wedding in Cancun now that her ex boyfriend is engaged and will be attending. When Jocko Brewer agrees to help Allie out, provided she agrees to be his fake fiancée, she is thrilled, after all they are friends and co workers. What could possibly go wrong?

I loved Jocko, his caring and support of Allie was heartwarming and sweet. The narration by Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood was spot on and they did an amazing job bringing Jocko and Allie to life for me. Their narration was entertaining and added another level to my listening pleasure.

There was great banter, heat and the chemistry between Jocko and Allie was sizzling and I loved how they came up with a plan to get both Nate and his mother off their backs with their fake engagement. However, what happens when pretending morphs into something real? Will they take a chance on happiness, or will they ignore the feelings that are developing? It was fun to listen as their friendship morphed into a relationship as their feelings evolved; it seemed fitting that these two should get together.

Jocks and Ally's Story

Mickey Miller couldn't have picked better narrators for this story. Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood did an excellent job with the narration.

One thing I love about Mickey MIller's stories is that he always finds a way to insert some of his past characters into his new stories. I hope we'll get to see more of Jocko and Ally in future Mickey Miller books.

Love this book

So what do you do when both you and your ex are invited to the same wedding that he'll be bringing his fiancee to? Well, you invite your sexy as sin co-worker to go with you of course. What could possibly go wrong? Omg. This book was so cute and the chemistry between the characters was amazing. Both Joe Arden & Savannah Peachwood did amazing narrating.

Loved, loved, loved so much

I read the book and now I was able to listen to the audio and I loved it just as much. Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood brought Jocko and Allie to life and it was perfect. I loved Jocko and Allison. Jocko is my favorite Brewer brother so far. They were such an amazing couple and they fit together so well. Allie was invited to a friend’s destination wedding in Cancun which is wonderful. Who doesn’t want to spend some time in the sun? The problem is that her ex-boyfriend was also invited to the wedding and he won’t be coming alone. Allie decides to ask Jocko to be her plus one and he agrees but there is a catch. Can what started out as two friends in a five day fake finance relationship turn into something real, something that neither one really expected? Mickey, Joe and Savannah killed it. Loved this book so much.
