Two hearts. One Wedding. Five Days. My name is Allison Jenkins and I need a fiancé for five days.
I know how desperate that sounds, because it is. You see, after my college boyfriend and I broke up, he recovered swiftly, and is now - gasp - engaged to someone else. Our group of friends from college are going to Cancún for a five day destination wedding of our mutual friend this spring. All of my friends are bringing their husbands, fiancés, and/or boyfriends. So I’ll be the single girl hanging out at the bar with all of the single aunts drinking margaritas. (Which doesn’t sound too awful, by the way.) The awful part will be watching my ex flaunting his hot, new, younger fiancée in front of me. Basically, I need a plan - stat - so these five days don’t suck.
Enter my coworker, Jocko Brewer. Handsome playboy and charmer of the ladies. Number two sales rep in the entire company already - at age 29. And, surprisingly, the guy I get along with best in the office. Though, I have to admit, he is the definition - most times - of arrogance. If he’s crazy enough to agree to my little Cancún plot and act like we’re engaged, I’d be happy.
But there’s just a little teensy-weensy problem that happens when we’re in Cancún. This fiancé role-playing bit?Well, we both start taking it just a wee bit too seriously. Who would have thought that so much could happen in five days?

Allison Jenkins is desperate and needs a date for five days as she is determined not to be the only single woman at a destination wedding in Cancun now that her ex boyfriend is engaged and will be attending. When Jocko Brewer agrees to help Allie out, provided she agrees to be his fake fiancée, she is thrilled, after all they are friends and co workers. What could possibly go wrong?
I loved Jocko, his caring and support of Allie was heartwarming and sweet. The narration by Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood was spot on and they did an amazing job bringing Jocko and Allie to life for me. Their narration was entertaining and added another level to my listening pleasure.
There was great banter, heat and the chemistry between Jocko and Allie was sizzling and I loved how they came up with a plan to get both Nate and his mother off their backs with their fake engagement. However, what happens when pretending morphs into something real? Will they take a chance on happiness, or will they ignore the feelings that are developing? It was fun to listen as their friendship morphed into a relationship as their feelings evolved; it seemed fitting that these two should get together.
Fun and Entertaining

One thing I love about Mickey MIller's stories is that he always finds a way to insert some of his past characters into his new stories. I hope we'll get to see more of Jocko and Ally in future Mickey Miller books.
