About this listen

Bridal gown designer Julianne Marchione knows better than to lose her head at a client's wedding. But a mix of migraine medication and a smoking hot football player lead to a steamy one night stand resulting in a surprise pregnancy. Julianne has every intention of forgetting her NFL hookup until her son, Owen, is born with a life-threatening blood disorder that requires a transfusion - and Julianne is not a match.

Will Connelly grew up tough, shouldering the stigma of being a bastard child born on the wrong side of the tracks. When he finds out about Owen, he's furious that Julianne kept his son a secret. But when he sees her again at the hospital, he realizes that his feelings for her go far beyond anger.

Will insists that Owen recuperate at his home, and he's adamant that Julianne become his wife - even if it's only a temporary marriage in name only. But will their simmering attraction ever lead to a real connection? Or are they just playing foolish games?

Contains mature themes.

Captivating, rocky romance.

A well-developed romance with depth. Intense at time and a bit to angsty for me, but that’s a personal preference. The story is well-written and easily kept my attention.

Enjoyable story

This book had a cute, predictable, storyline. It was a quick and fun weekend read. The narrator’s voice was not my favorite, especially for the female voices.

Great

I really liked this book and would recommend this book. It had a great storyline and sexual storylines. I wish this book was a movie or TV show. I like for the book cover to match the characters and Will description in the book didn't match the cover. That made it a little hard to get into the story. The odd couple were great together. The narrator could have been better with the female characters. I would like to have heard more about Hank and Annabelle love story from their romance to their beach wedding. Did her family go to the wedding or just her, Hank and hid daughter? I wish Julianne farther would have came to walk her down the aisle. This was a cute story.
