About this listen

When Claudia accidentally eavesdrops on the epic breakup of Paige and Iris, the it-couple at her school, she finds herself in hot water with prickly, difficult Iris. Thrown together against their will in the class production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, along with the goofiest, cutest boy Claudia has ever known, Iris and Claudia are in for an eye-opening senior year.

Smart, funny, and thoroughly, wonderfully flawed, Claudia navigates a world of intense friendships and tentative romance in Foolish Hearts, a young-adult novel about expanding your horizons, allowing yourself to be vulnerable, and accepting - and loving - people for who they really are.

So cute and heartwarming!

I was so invested in all the characters and they were so fun to get to know. I loved all the Shakespeare and gaming stuff too. Gideon is such a sweetheart and I LOVE Iris. I really liked the voice actor and the way she made each person distinct without sounding like an impression of someone

Quite Lovely and Happy

This book gad me experiencing many great emotions. I loved the characters from the beginning. Gideon was so goofy and fun, had me laughing through out the story. Also Iris, she was complicated, but also quite relatable. The story had romance, but it wasn't the main focus as developing friendships were. It was really cute and sweet. a gentle read (maybe for lack of better terms). I can tell this is a story I'll be revisiting.

A lovely respite from reality

I utterly adore this book. I was so charmed by the ridiculous Gideon and all of his quirks. Claudia is a wonderful avatar for the reader and through her, I gained an appreciation for MMORPGs that I never imagined I would have. Also, Boy Bands/KPop through the curmudgeonly Iris…

The narrator was excellent.

4.25 stars - Lovely Cover Holds Wonderful Story Inside

Had no idea that I’d end up reading a young adult contemporary book where one of the main events is a bunch of teenagers are putting on a play of one of Shakespeare’s most famous comedies much yet enjoy it. There was plenty going on in relationships both in friendships and romance around the school play and outside school. Can honestly say I’d definitely read another Emma Mills novel.
