About this listen

Ethan Blackwood has a dark destiny that will make him the next Blackwood Crow. He’s being haunted by his past and is slowly morphing into the man he never wanted to be. Every decision he’s made to get to this point in his life has been a misstep, and he’s desperate to get turned in the right direction before it’s too late. He doesn’t know how, until he runs into a clumsy little beauty who has decided he is hers, and she is his. What he needs to do is stay steady and figure out a way to get rid of the ghost from his past, but Leah is making it hard to think straight. But the closer she gets to him, the more danger she’s in, because the ghost from his past will do anything to keep Ethan’s destiny intact - even hurt the girl he’s falling for.

Leah Hawthorne isn’t great at many things, but she can tell when a man is good or bad, and Ethan Blackwood is a bad boy with a heart of gold. He’s crazy. Everyone in town knows that much. He talks to himself too much to be sane, but she’s up for being his friend. And the more she gets to know him, the more she thinks he might just be the man to handle her quirks. But he’s a slippery little fish and hard to catch, and now she’s thinking he isn’t as crazy as everyone thinks. Choosing him means putting her life in peril, and there is no doubt her future will be changed forever, but maybe that’s just what this bored, small-town girl needs...a little danger and a lot of love for one hot-as-hell, Harley-riding outlaw Blackwood Crow.

Ethan’s Story!!!!

Loved this one! She is so quirky! At first I thought she was not a good fit but as the story went along…she is perfect! I loved watching him grow and change. Then we get introduced to a new character that is so powerful. Yeessss! Next please!

Hilarious

I loved this pair, but especially the female lead. She was so funny. Her irreverent, bubbly humor made this book shine.

Omg my sides hurt

By far my favorite of the series. Leah had me laughing so hard, it was wonderful. The first book in the series was a little darker and took on the MC raunchy style that isn’t really Joyce’s norm but this was a fantastic return to her usual style. You have to listen it’s totally worth it even if you don’t listen to any of the others in the series.

Perfect

Nice narrator. Kept me listening to this series for hours.
Ethan is a crow haunted by his dead father. Leah is a clumsy, funny airhead who is always upbeat no matter what happens. They are opposites in everything but together they work perfectly.

the best

I love a book with a sense of humor.... Athens story was simply to the point... the boy has demon issues but when he meets his mate . She had me laughing from the begining.. Leah is the best...

The Grump and Angel

This one is my favorite in the series so far.
He is So Super Grumpy and she is happiness with a side of glitter.
I loved how crazy she was right from the start. She is perfect for him.
Standalone with no Cliffhangers.

Great story, narrator not a good fit.

I loved the STORY and rated it a 5, however the narrator was such a bad fit, I just couldn't go higher than a 3 overall. Any other author, I would've stopped at chapter 1 and returned it. A 30 some year old heroine should never sound like a 15 year old, 80's, valley girl. Narrator would probably be great for young adult books.
