About this listen

Kellan, the pack's beta, hasn't been able to stop thinking about Lindsay, the alpha's daughter, ever since they spent a night flirting at the bar. Everything about her called to him, from her long, luscious legs to their mutual love of corny old sitcoms. She invited him over, but he resisted, knowing the alpha wanted to keep the pack away from her. Kellan can't get her out of his head, though. When he shows up weeks later at her apartment, hot and horny, he doesn't know if Lindsay will turn him away and laugh at him or invite him in.

Now that the two of them have finally acted on their forbidden romance, they must hide yet another scintillating secret from Lindsay's father. But hiding a secret from a werewolf is never easy....

Book was just okay

BOOK REVIEW.....
The story just did nothing for me. I didn't really like Kellen. He was weak and kind of pathetic. Lyndsay wasn't that impressive of a character either. It didn't leave me wanting to know more about them at all. I felt no connection to the characters. Maybe if there had been more to them I might have but as they are...NO

AUDIO REVIEW......
I found the narrator to be not bad at doing voices. Though being a female herself I would think she would be able to do a better female voice. Lyndsay sounded childish.

To Shift or Not to Shift

Forbidden Shifts is definitely forbidden. Kellen, a beta wolf, is attracted to his alpha's daughter, Lindsay. A relationship between them shouldn't happened but it did. Worst is that Kellen has turned Lindsay into a shapeshifter in their height of passion allowing Lindsay to shift into a wolf. Of course, Lindsay's father is going to find out quite easily of Lindsay being able to shift into a wolf, by scent.

Forbidden Shifts is a short story with a simple theme. Boy likes girl but must deal with overly protective father who is trying to protect his daughter from the shapeshifter's world.

The narrator Audrey Lusk, was OK. The story was told from Kellen's point of view which requires the voice to be deeper. The narrator's voice for Lindsay was perfect. The narration works since the dialogue was so simple.

A short story ...

Any additional comments?

Forbidden Shifts is a short novella. At 50 minutes long it is a book you could listen to in one sitting. Ms. Lusk did an adequate job with the narration. I think that I would have preferred a male narrator as this story is told from Kellan's point of view. The story kept my interest tho the 2 main characters sorta just jumped into a romance. I would have liked to have heard the scene where they met to bring me more into the story.

Forbidden love

Love this type of story. How did the daughter of a shifter not know her father was a shifter and how was she not born as one?

Short but good

If you could sum up Forbidden Shifts in three words, what would they be?

Short but good

What did you like best about this story?

It was a good story for a short audio book. Kellan is in love and lust with Lindsay, the alpha's daughter. The author was able to tell us how they met and where the relationship went in a short amount of time. I even thought it was great the author let Lindsay be the dominant character in the relationship that developed between Kellan and Lindsay.

Which character – as performed by Audrey Lusk – was your favorite?

Kellan is a big tough guy until is comes to Lindsay. Than it's what she says goes.

Love my Shifters!

Would you listen to Forbidden Shifts again? Why?

No, it is rememberable enough. Too many books to read.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked that it got right to the point of the story, the passion of course, and that the author and narrator did a great job in telling that story.

What does Audrey Lusk bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Did a great job with all the voices, many don't. Some narrators speak in a monotone voice which puts me asleep, Audrey does not.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the alpha was confronted with the fact of the romance going on under his nose and that his daughter liked being a werewolf and was looking forward to running the pack.

Forbidden Secrets!

I thoroughly enjoyed this short story and I really wish it had been a long novel instead of a novella. Author Olivia Myers has written a great paranormal fantasy, my favorite genre to be honest. I thought the story was written extremely well, there's some hot romance, secrets to be unraveled, and some twists and turns along the way. I highly recommend this story and I will admit it's worth reading/listening to. I will also like to let the author know from a person that uses credits and buys audiobooks that it's much cheaper to make an audiobook in a full length audio atleast 6-8 hours. As a person who uses credits and purchases audiobooks all the time, I won't ever use a credit or spend $3.00 or over for anything less than a 5 hour audio. I would recommend making this series into a bundle boxed set for audio format or just make the stories longer. This is a great story nevertheless.

Audrey Lusk did a great job with her narration of this story. I think that her voice for Lindsay was perfect but with Kellen she needed to do some more work with his voice. Kellen's voice needed to be deeper and more manlier. The story was done in his POV and therefore it needed to sound more manly. Overall, a great job and I give it a 5 star review.
