About this listen

Foreign Enemies and Traitors is set in the near future in an America that is creeping steadily toward socialist tyranny, in the midst of the second Great Depression. A year after earthquakes have devastated the Tennessee Valley, survivors are resisting demands by the federal government to relocate to FEMA refugee centers. United States National Guard units have proven ineffective at forcing these survivors out of the earthquake-damaged regions, due to their reluctance to employ deadly force against fellow Americans. As a result, the president has invited so-called foreign peacekeeping battalions to do the work of forcibly relocating the holdouts. The novel follows a small group of determined survivors in their resistance to the foreign enemies, and the American traitors who are their allies.

Locust

Ungrateful, entitled and completely incompatible with Western civilization. The African locust is already a problem and this book shows you how big the problem can get when things get bad.

I have read Matthew Bracken since he was "ONLIINE"

With book One in this series. THE only reason "Performance" is a 3 star is due to what I would assume is poor editing of the reading itself. There are More than a Few "repeated" partial sentences in this The 3rd book, I had not read All of book 2, so I bought & listened to it first. Overall, A Great Author ! ! !

Awesome book!

I loved the whole Trilogy, but this 3rd and final book was my favorite. I will be sure to follow the author on social media and read his other works. Mr. Bracken, Thank you for your service Sir and thank you for these modern literary masterpieces. God bless you and your family and God bless America.

Excellent read

I love all of Matt’s books and have listened to them or read them multiple times over the years. I think I like this book best of all, but it does help to know what happened in the previous two books for perspective.

Great book, sad it’s the last

“Foreign Enemies and Traitors” is an outstanding book by Matthew Bracken. I listened to the ending over a few days because I didn’t want the series to end. Bracken has done a great job showing what could happen to the United States if we allow anti-Constitutional politicians to run our country. In the book, as in reality, the media lies to cover for the lies of the politicians, instead of doing their actual jobs, which is giving the public true, factual information and investigating politicians and bureaucrats. America is sliding down a very slippery slope and Brackens books are a cautionary tale of what can happen to our beautiful country.

Every American needs to read this.

This book, along with the other books in this trilogy, is, hands down, the most important work of fiction any American can read. I could say the same for our European neighbors, as they seem to be fast tracked to the events contained in these books as well. Well done, Mr. Bracken. Mr. Kemp, thank you for taking so much time for the narration of this series.

Uncanny how close it is to current events in many ways.

I hope Americas traitor get revealed and brought to Justice. Hopefully before it’s too late.

Not as good as book 1, but better than 2

Book one was great because it was believable. But as the series goes, there are freak events like earthquakes in places not known for them, etc, which become important to the plot. It's not a bad book but lacks the punch of the first one, which feels like it could really happen.
