Publisher's summary

All his life, Jack Callaghan has been a fighter and a survivor.

For his country - as a Navy SEAL in Vietnam. For his family - as the proud son of immigrants, a fierce friend, beloved husband, and father of seven strapping sons. For his life - in war, in covert ops, and now unexpectedly stricken by a shadow that's loomed over the Callaghan men for generations.

Jack's most recent brush with death brings back a lifetime of memories in vivid, realistic detail. The best times of his life, as well as the worst. Through it all, he's always fought the good fight, because he's always had people depending on him.

But now, his sons are grown, with families of their own. They run the Pub, the Team, and the family, as well.

After 25 years without his croie, he's tired...tired of fighting, tired of existing without her. Especially when he is so close to seeing his Kathleen again.

Contains mature themes.

A Heartfelt 6 Stars!!

I think this was my favourite story of the Callaghan Brother Series. I would definitely give it a heartfelt 6 stars I loved it that much! It was wonderful hearing where the story all started and I loved the way it went back and forth between the present and the past as Jack recalled his life with his croie. I shed tears with Jack and for Jack and wanted to reach in and give him a hug more than once throughout the book. I absolutely loved this series and am so sad to see it end. I know I will re-visit the Callaghans many times as I listen to their stories over and over again. Aiden Snow has made the series thoroughly enjoyable with his exceptional voice and wonderful narration. Abbie Zanders has definitely become one of my favourite authors and I will be looking for more books that she has written. Hopefully there will be more on audible in the future.

This was by far the best of all in the series

My word Aiden Snow gave the story life, not to mention bringing out all the feels my goodness he out did himself with narrating this one.

The author definitely knew what they were doing saving the best for last, I loved everything about the matriarch of the clan she was just something else. What a beautiful way to conclude the series

the apple doesn't fall far from the tree

Omg! I was near tears during a lot of Jack's story. As the patriarch of the family, I can see how the Callaghan brothers grew to be the amazing men they are. There are no words to describe how phenomenal this one is.

Oh my...I cried!

I have been listening to each book in this series as soon as it’s released and have just loved them all, but this has to be my absolute favorite. There were seven Callahan sons born to Jack and Kathleen and we’ve seen each of them find their soulmate in the previous stories. In this story, we focus on Jack, their father who has been alone since he lost Kathleen decades earlier when the oldest boy was only 16. He’s missed her every day since, because she was his soulmate. The thing is, Jack hasn’t been feeling too well, but has not told anyone or seen a doctor. While visiting at the farm with his family he is feeling awful but walks his oldest little granddaughter over the hill to the pumpkin patch to get herself one before the public comes and picks them over. When he collapses there she runs to get her daddy and the Callahan boys are faced with possibly losing their father, a man they always saw as indestructible. Jack, on the other hand, is seeing and hearing Kathleen and having conversations and dreams about their life together, sort of reliving everything. The question is this- is Jack getting ready to go to be with Kathleen, or is there still a purpose God left him alive. This was such an emotional book that I felt myself tearing up many times. Narration was just excellent. I highly recommend this audiobook- you won’t be disappointed!
