Publisher's summary

As the only male demigod of his generation, Cameron has some pretty big...shoes to fill.

For one, he has to deal with all the female demigods, and some of them, well... you know.

For two, he’s the best blacksmith the demigods have seen in a millennia, which is good because apparently, he’s destined to craft the Ultimate Weapon.

So, yeah, this book is about a dude who likes to forge things and is surrounded by hot demigoddesses.

Do the math.

Percy Jackson goes to college and have sex.. twice

You are getting a low ranking because I know the author does better work I am a fan of Simon Archer but this book is kind of trash because of the goddamn recording every single word at the beginning of a sentence was missing and that is not an exaggeration I had to listen to this book quite a few times extra just so I knew what characters were talking or doing in the story I understand that it's probably not the right as fault it's most likely audibles so audible please get your shit together so that I can give the writer a better rating as well as the narrator cuz from what I could hear they did a pretty good job.

So reading this book I can honestly say that the story was kind of predictable and the main character was mostly intelligent, but also an idiot... it just took him way too long to know who his enemies and his friends are. Not to mention realize the power that he actually holds if someone wants you to make an all-powerful weapon to end a war and then threatens to throw you out in the streets if you don't the reality is that's an empty threat cuz they still need that all-powerful weapon.

Also most of his friends seem to be pretty fucking cool but his recruiter is definitely an idiot which you will understand at the end of the book when he comes to the realization of how to fight the bad guys before she does.the sex scenes in this book were pretty good for quickies cuz that's basically what they were it was a 3 to 8 minute description of sex.

I totally understand that there's nothing new under the sun, but there is definitely a way to make it less predictable, If this book were a movie it would be PG-13 X-Men movie with the 13 rating for a little bit of side boob smh.

whiney main

To much whiney boy not enough being a man. A lot of over story padding details and tell me the answers I am a kid and can't think of one. Even though these a supposed to be college age people.

Good but I have 1 issue

I'm not gonna spoil it but it's very Percy Jackson eske but please NO MORE SINGING i can't stand it. also the narration sounded good but like if your gonna make a book where 98 percent of the characters are female maybe add a female narratior alot of the voices sounded alike.

come on

please for the love of all that is holy do not ever put another song in a book. It is completely unnecessary and the audiobook version is killing me, the narrators are not singers and I cannot stand the crap verses

I dislike the whining voice that the narrator makes during battles scenes

The narrator makes the mc sound, whiny during battle scenes that it completely knocks me for a loop, it is so irritating, the story is amazing!!! But the narrator ruins it soooo much, I can’t stand the tone he uses, if you got a better narrators have him fix it, then the book would be perfect

good book with some problems.

For the most part I enjoyed the book. The pacing is on point and the characters are for the most part well written. My main issue with this book is that the MC is fireproof and yet there are times in the book that he shys away from fire as a normal person would or as if he's forgotten that the fire won't harm him.

My other issue is there are two plot threads that are brought up in the first half of the book and they seem like big deals but are completely forgotten about by the halfway point.

All in all it was a good book that I hope will have a sequel to it that will tie up the lose plot threads.

Ummm not as good as I’d hoped

Simon has spoiled me on his other series and this one just didn’t work as good. The MC is whiny and the narrator droned on with excessive pauses.

On the redeemable side, the narrator does have a decent stable of voices and keeps them straight from character to character.

Predicable but good.

I really enjoyed the Percy Jacksonish story/theme. Some of the characters are very one demontional (I can’t to save my life sorry). And of course girls throw them selves at him left right and center. Overall mehh
