About this listen

Life sucks.

Gabe Harris has been clued into this fact for a long time now. In his mid-twenties, life has been nothing but low paying jobs, petty power-tripping bosses, and the worst roommates mankind has to offer. Bills, debt, and misery have haunted him for his entire adult life and, to make matters worse, it feels like his dream of being a writer is dead on arrival.

One fateful night, he decides to take control of his life and make his dream a reality. Diving into the strange world of online writing soon yields results, enough that he can move into his own place, even if it's a terrible studio apartment. As he finishes moving and prepares to pursue the life of a successful writer by any means necessary, the world throws something completely unexpected his way.

Ellen, a six foot five blonde goddess and former coworker, abruptly reenters his life as her own seemingly perfect existence is collapsing. When the two begin reconnecting, things start getting heated, and Gabe quickly learns that being a successful writer isn't the only thing he wants.

This story was hot as all hell. A 6ft 5in female that's all kinds of sexy, I love it. Can't wait for next one.

Very sexy and awesome.

Now the Story isn't anything crazy most of it is really the characters talking and developing their relationship which I quite enjoy, but they do complain quite a bit about, politicians, the rich, corportations etc which shows them off as more negative people, going off on rants about how the rich or evil politicians control it all, but if you're able to withstand those moments there is a pretty solid relationship building story here and in depth character that all have dreams and Insecurities that made them feel real.

Enjoyable read with a tad of complaining

I enjoyed this story. I can relate a lot to what they were saying about corporate lives, parents and such. I love how they didn't make those negative feeling stop then from living their lives. listen to in and put yourself in their shoes.

Another great book by Misty Vixen. You will not be disappointed. Also Melanie Hastings narration really brings the story to life. I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

This could be a primer on direct, respectful and open communication in a relationship. Someone did their research and it’s beautiful.

Great book, was fun to read! Language and writing stood out as it felt like these were real people going through real issues in our modern society. The characters showed great development throughout the story, and embodied sex is a very safe & positive way with a huge emphasis on consent.
The narration was also clear and amazing. You are able to tell who is who simply by the way each character spoke.
The ending was a great setup for the next book in the series. I can't wait to get it started!

Right up front before you read any further just know that I recommend this book to anybody thinking about giving it a shot. A little context for my review. I tend to take it easy on the first and last book of any series as not every series makes it to “The End” and the first of anything can be a shaky endeavor. When I get to the ending of a book that I have liked I usually have a number of questions that I'm looking for answers for. That being said I thought I would share what I found here beyond the fact that I like the story. Sometimes the author will have the next installment already out and available even if it's only an eBook form. Unfortunately, in this case it's not yet out as of the time of this review. The next question is whether or not there would be anything else from the author or narrator that I thought might be interesting. For this author I've been through almost everything, but I would recommend that if you haven't already you should definitely check out “A Warm Place.” The complete series is available in eBook form and the first six or out on audio. I thoroughly enjoy the performance by this narrator, and she's quickly gotten into my top ten all-time favorites. I didn't mind the solo narration. I know she has partnered in the past with Gabriel. I am interested in the “Elemental Empire” series but as I haven't checked it out just yet, I will recommend that you take a look at “Mud Blood and Magic.” Lastly, I'll just say well done to everybody who had a hand in bringing this story to us, the Audible listeners.

Check This One Out
