About this listen

The Demon Lord is dead.

The System is broken.

Somehow, Elias Hearthsong is neither of these things, despite being at the final battle of the Demon Wars. He is a Master Enchanter, perhaps the last one alive. Determined to keep a promise, he crosses the continent to protect his dead friend's legacy: a crumbling orphanage run by a beautiful kitsune.

He isn't a teacher, nor does he have experience with children. But with the love of a few good women, anything can become possible.

Loved it.
Loved the characters, loved the magic and skills system. The writing was very good. Comfortable and relaxed. I can't say I didn't like anything about this book. Like not even one. Which is unusual for me.
As for the two narrators..........
Perfect. Absolutely perfect.
Virgil has such a nice voice and reads so realistic. He doesn't sound like an ai/robot voice. He sounds like an actual person speaking with inflections and tones in places that make sense.
Jessica sounds so sweet and I love her characters' voices. She also seems to know exactly where tone and inflection and pauses in text should go. So many people don't seem to have that talent.
I am currently impatiently awaiting book two and I will be looking for more books written and narrated by any combination of these four brilliant people.
Keep up the good work.

Perfect slice of life

Amazing narrators that brought the characters and world to life with amazing writing . But I feel more of the war thoughts and flashbacks could of be directed towards building up the harem and love life. This author is know for short action scenes just enough details to pass The FTB ... which kind makes it boring

Great Story But Slow Romance

Okay, this is a good story and a low stat litrpg. Obviously, it has some scenes in it that are meant for mature audiences. I'm going, to be honest, sex can be a beautiful thing, but the authors here more or less describe it like someone from a trailer park. You don't need the urban dictionary for sex scenes. There is a decent character arc and plenty of room for book 2. They did a great job of conveying the protagonist's PTSD. They did a great job of creating dynamic characters with different viewpoints. They also managed to capture childlike amazement. Not what I'd say is typical to the genre. Well worth the read

Come on let's learn to write!

I love that this book wasn’t overly filled with sex that sounds like it was written by an inexperienced teenager. I need more than one book though so start writing!!!!! Huge plus that you have a man and a woman narrating this. I hate hearing a man attempt to narrate a woman’s voice. Can’t f*cling stand that! So thank you. Now go write more

Wonderful story! More please!!!!!!

if you like games, romance, and adventure this book is for you. the book is like those lit rpg books you like and love. but the story is like what happens to the main character after defeating the last boss. telling a story about what comes next and how to move forward with his life and how to traverse his new roll in this new world. it's a must read book. can't wait to listen to the next book.

love this book
