Equal to the revered Patrick O’Brian. Mr. Kent’s are bloodier and darker in comparison. I don’t know which is the more realistic. If you can stand the graphic violence, and the sudden loss of so many wonderful characters, then you enjoy this series.

One of his best stories so far. Alexander Kent stories get better as the series progresses.
