As the small town of Rainbow Falls, Montana, comes under siege, scattered survivors band together to weather the onslaught of the creatures set loose upon the world. As they ready for battle against overwhelming odds, they will learn the full scope of Victor Frankenstein’s nihilistic plan to remake the future - and the terrifying reach of his shadowy, powerful supporters. Critic reviews

"Koontz is a master of the edge-of-your-seat, paranoid thriller and perhaps the leading American practitioner of the form.” ( The Star-Ledger)
“Koontz writes first-rate suspense, scary and stylish.” ( Los Angeles Times)
“A rarity among bestselling writers, Koontz continues to pursue new ways of telling stories, never content with repeating himself. He writes of hope and love in the midst of evil in profoundly inspiring and moving ways.” ( Chicago Sun-Times)

this is the second time I've listened to this story and it's better the second time I only hope that Mr Koontz will one day revive Frankenstein together with Carson and Michael and of course Jocko

better the second time around

I think this was the best book in the series. Yes, it was a continuation of book four. I'm still not sure of the end. He says he'll be back, so I don't know if this was really the last in the series. We'll just have to wait and see, but Koontz left the door open for another story. I also love Jocko, he is a great character. The narration was excellent as well. I highly recommend it.

The best of the series

I loved this series and have been looking toward to this final book for along time. I listened over 3 hours trying tp give it a chance to get better, but I had to give up. It's just a string of one disgusting over descriptive events after another. No story, no characters you get in to. I can't believe this is by the same author. Save your money and time. It is terrible!

Disappointing

it gets a little preachy and pseudo religious at times but the end made me cry.

I enjoyed this book second most in the series, the third book was my favorite. Well written, good enough plot and the narrator was on point as usual. Great characters, but the bad guys lacked the personality of the earlier books. Still worth a listen.

Good ending to a great series.

I listened to all 5 books one after the other and have to say it is amazing. You really get involved with the characters and even as a 58 year old man it brought tears to my eyes a couple of times. Well worth the listen!

Sad for it to end.
