The Children Are Dying

The first one third of the book was confusing to me. where did all those people come from? I made it to the next one third of the book and then I could not put it down. It was a challenge trying to figure out who the bad guys really were and at the end what a surprise. "From the Cradle" is a book that keeps on giving, up to the close.
That's what a mystery / thriller book does. Right? Sometimes I had a hard time understanding a word or two but gong back to listen did the trick.

Twisted But Good

Well done by Voss and Edwards! The story gets a little sloppy at the end but all is forgiven because overall, it was a great listen. A young child goes missing from a house in an upper middle class neighborhood in London. Coincidentally, or not, another young child was stolen from its car-seat at a shopping center. Are the cases related? The policeman assigned to the case lost his own baby in a horrific manner. Can he keep a clear head during the investigation? Voss and Edwards flesh out their characters well. The who-done-it isn't apparent until near the end of the book. Highly recommended for those looking for a good thriller who are tired of the hash put out by familiar writers who use co-writers and all the stories are the same.

James Clamp was outstanding with the delivery of the story

Beguiling story, with many surprises

I won't give away anything, but this was a creepy story with lots of plot twists. The author did a good job of looking into the murky personalities of many characters. The end is a shock. This is the first book I've read by these authors, and I will look for more from them.

I listen to at least 4 audio books a month, that said, I believe I am able to judge a few, this one is pretty good. Worth listening to.

Read in the wrong order...

I picked up
This book after reading The Blissfully Dead- which was the wrong order! I must say that, though I wish I had done it the proper way, I very much enjoyed both books and am snatching up everything by these authors!

Excellent!

I absolutely loved this book! From the very first few pages I was hooked. The storyline continues to evolve and change. I could never have guessed the final outcome! The narration was excellent as well. I enjoy British audiobooks and learning different phrases that are foreign to me as an American. I highly recommend this novel!

Another great story from Mark Edwards

A wonderful mystery with many twists and turns and surprises. I recommend this book to those who enjoy mysteries and Mark Edwards. He collaborated with Louise Voss on this book. Together they put out a good story. The narrator also gave a splendid performance.

Troublesome novel about kidnapped children

From the Cradle is detective mystery about the abuse and kidnapping of very young children. It was difficult for me to listen to and now that I am finished I regret it. The book is excellent, but I cannot recommend it.
