Stupendous story for anyone who loves foxhunting!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I love these stories and I love the author's narration more than any other reader.
No one else has ever captured the all-around spirit of foxhunting, hounds, horses and all the characters as well and it is always a joy to listen or read these delightful books.

Another good Sister Jane mystery!

More twisty tales in the Jefferson Hunt country. Off to read the next one in this series.

Where's the mystery?

If you like foxhunting, hounds, foxes, lyrical descriptions, dialogue between animals and learning about how a fox hunt operates from the viewpoint of all (and I mean ALL) the participants, this book is for you. If you are looking for a good mystery, forget this one. About halfway through, about the only thing mysterious that had happened was a couple of deaths (by hemlock!) of people we hadn't even met, and even the main character was only mildly interested in what happened to them at that point. The ultimate trap for the villain was pretty exciting, though. Also, the author narrated this one -- always a mistake, I think. She was a bit mechanical. Barbara Rosenblat or another professional could have livened this one up considerably.

Every single book in this series is a jewel.

I especially love the ones Rita Mae Brown narrates. I love her voice !

Waiting with bated breath to order the fourteenth in series from Audible.

Yes, Audible !!

Miss Brown's tone and inflection reveal things too that just the written word cannot ! Bet I've listened six to ten times and enjoyed thoroughly.

Go Rita !

Wonderful series!

This is a fabulous series! I am so glad I ignored all the haters who don’t appreciate RMB’s narrating her own stories! These are fabulous stories and I, for one, love RMBs narration and can’t wait to start my next book in this series! Having hunted as a child, these books make my heart warm and nostalgic.

Read the reviews before you use a point!!

What would have made Full Cry better?

I can't think of anything that would have made this better. It was awful.

Would you ever listen to anything by Rita Mae Brown again?

No!!!!

Would you be willing to try another one of Rita Mae Brown’s performances?

No!!!

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Full Cry?

At least the first hour and 1/2, but that was as far as I could stand to listen. There was nothing there but boring description of the hunt from all (and I mean all) points of view.

Any additional comments?

Her other books have to be better than this one. Otherwise, how has she managed to sell any books at all. Please read the other reviews, I agree with all the ones that did not like this book.

Writer Narrator

Rita Mae Brown should stick to writing and go back to paying a professional to bring her books to life. I'll never purchase another of her books if she continues to read them. Many writers think they can better tell their story and I haven't found any of them that can do justice to their books like the professional can.

UGH!

It was hard for me to give even 1 star. I loved all the other Rita Mae Brown books but this is the first I wanted to get my point back. Sorry Rita I cannot even stand her voice. Keep writing the Mrs. Murphy ones, please.

Poor narration

I have long enjoyed Rita Mae's stories but I will never buy another that she narrates. You can hear her take a breath and actually swallow. Annoying beyond belief. I could not get past chapter 2. Extremely disappointed.
