The story moved quickly nothing boring even when explaining how things worked I was still interested.

The protagonists Kai. Really likable character. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

I love it. This is was a blast! It's fun and funny and has a lot of great, original ideas. I loved Landon! What a phenomenal character. The narrator really hit his stride in the second chapter and it just gets better from there. I've already pre-ordered the next one and I see the third one is up for pre-order too.
I'll be recommending this to all of my friends. Fantastic job, Mr. LaVoice, I look forward to the next installment!

this is a very entertaining story. it has a lot of twists to it. some will be obvious but others will suprise you.

The author does a good job introducing humor without trying too hard, refreshing for this genre. The plot isn't very original, but I'm a sucker for a guy finding an alien spaceship whose AI puts him in charge, and this story is one of those.

The biggest flaw in the story is what happened leading up to finding the spaceship: our MC managed to break into an alien Ft. Knox by posing as the cleaning crew. Ugh. The author did a really poor job thinking through this particular caper. He clearly wanted to skip to getting a spaceship as soon as possible.

I'm also chagrined by the authors' failure to understand the physics of space flight. There's no such thing as coming to a complete stop, since velocity is always relative to something else, nor would a spacecraft reverse direction by banking into a steep turn...that's airplane stuff.

I might or might not read a sequel.

Too bad every thief doesn't run into a spaceship to take them away from the planet. Better than the cliches about meeting extraterrestrials.

Kai's just a regular old guy who wants to retire from working for a crime syndicate, but he has'ta do one last job before he can throw in the towel. And boy does the job turn into a doozy. As no job can be pulled off without complications. But Kai always contingency plans. However these plans don't involve the police or the aliens, for that clean getaway he planned on! So yeah, you heard me Aliens! And there is even an AI ship that kinda reminds me of M-Bot. From Brandon Sanderson's fantastic series Skyward!
So grab the audiobook! You really don't wanna miss out on Christian J Gilliland fine narration, but you'll need to find out how it all turns out.

This book wasn't what I expected at first, gangster shootout had me wondering what I had gotten into. About halfway in I decided to hang on for the ride and was satisfied that I did. I'm looking forward to book two.

The narrator did a great job telling this story.
Kay's growth was noticeble. For me the only problem is that the book ended too soon.
