About this listen

With the threat of more assassinations on Bainbridge paralyzing the fortified island and spies in her own ranks turning her own men against her, Jillybean has to look to unlikely allies as The Black Captain brings his fury south to destroy her.

He is consumed with the idea of revenge, yet he retains a cold, calculating rationality that Jillybean does not. The stress of war, as well as the deaths of her friends and the man she loves by her own hand, is eating away at what little mental stability she has left. Again and again, she slips away into a fantasy world, and each time, she loses a little more control of the murdering thugs she calls an army.
Her only hope is to turn to The Guardians, a religious community that values faith and honor higher than life itself. The problem she faces, however, is she can’t hide the fact that she is, and always will be, The Mad Queen.

superb entertainment thank you!

Peter Meredith is the master of character driven ZA genre ( I had to buy and listen to a huge number of froggy books before I was rewarded with this prince of an author) and Callahan’s performance of the gut wrenching action drama ( sans swearing)is terrific.

Book series was great time first but,,,,,,,

The book series was great at first but it’s just too much too fast and too often to sustain any realism especially only been 12 years after period I wish they wouldn’t stretch it out a little bit as the people have one bad thing happen after another in such a short time that they would’ve fallen over from exhaustion period I know being a soldier going in those situations like that have a great toll on you and no one would be able to sustain the momentum the day doing the books. I suggestSpacing the books out as if you read them back to back they’re just too much.

love this series

absolutely love this series I followed it since apocalypse all the way to now and will continue I recommend it for any zombie novel lover the characters are rich you fall in love with the characters all over again I like how the zombies have changed I love the seeing how jilly-bean has changed so much and not so much I really wasn't sure how it would be now that she's grown up but Generation Z has turned out to be a great second half of the series I will be buying the next one as soon as it comes out on Audible thank you

We lost a great one when we lost Peter Meredith!

I have listened to and read the Generation Z series a few times and still love it! There are characters that you love and those you love to hate. You get so invested in them that you can’t wait to read another book! I wish there could be more Jilly Bean adventures to come

Hooked Again!

This book reminds me of why I loved the first 10 books of Meredith’s Apocalypse Undead series. It finally brings together the first series and the other books of Generation Z. Brian Callahan is an absolutely amazing narrator. I was concerned as Basil Sands was such a hard act to follow, but Callahan truly maintains characters which makes the story easy to follow. This book’s ending leaves me craving more!!!!

Great story. Horrible ending

Many, many hours of listening enjoyment just to have the whole story ruined with a hastily written ending. Ruined the whole experience
