The Whole is Greater than the sum of it's parts !!

Have always thought this is the best school of thought in the Psychology of psychologies, it seems to be more complete in it's philosophy, more whole, more complete.
To watch or listen to Fritz Pearls in action is just "the best."
Fritz the "Father of Gestalt Psychology" is a must read for any psychology student, any student of human behavior.
Good concept, good theory, good philosophy.

Nothing to do with Gestalt Therapy

There is literally about one minute of information that is accurate to gestalt therapy in this entire 2 1/2 hour track. The information in this track is actually quite interesting and useful, but it is all about general approaches to psychotherapy from a variety of different, behavioral, neural scientific, and other angles.

demand better for your time

Short, slowly delivered, mostly filler material. Very lttle explicitly regarding theory. Really just a high school psych recap and the audacity to talk about preparing for practice.

Disappointed

I’m a counselor educator and wanted to learn more about Gestalt to better guide students. I was quite disappointed, as the book only described a little of the theory. It was more about history & general principles of conducting therapy, and much of it was clearly from a CBT approach.

NOT Gestalt therapy

This is not representative of what Gestalt therapy is. It felt like listening to a lecturer in a survey class discussing a modality they know very little about and trying to cushion the information with general advice on self care. This was an utter waste of time.
