Publisher's summary

After being the center of nasty gossip in her last hometown, all Julie Donovan wants in Saint Jo, Texas, is a quiet, uneventful life for her and her daughter, Annie. But when a sexy cowboy walks into her classroom with a daughter who looks like Annie's twin, suddenly the whole town is looking for explanations...

Devoted single dad Griffin Luckadeau will do anything to protect his own, and no sassy redhead is going to get in his way. When he thinks Julie is scheming to steal his ranch out from under him to benefit her own daughter, sparks really begin to fly... Julie and Griffin can't seem to cross paths without a scuffle. But when the dust settles, these two Texas hotheads may realize they've actually found something worth fighting for...

With So Much Love and Excitement, I Couldn’t Stop Listening!!!

Author Carolyn Brown exceeded herself in this story set in a small ranching town, set in the Panhandle of Texas. It’s where Julie Donovan, a single kindergarten teacher, moves with her five year old daughter Annie to build a scandal-free life for the two of them. But from the first day of school when a tall, gorgeous cowboy she recognizes walks into her classroom with a five year old daughter identical to her Annie, the excitement begins. That excitement - fate, temper, and love - is entangled without ceasing until the very last page. I stayed up a good part of the night so I’d find out what happened. I do highly recommend “Getting Lucky”!

Mispronunciation

If you’re from north Texas, be prepared for all the mispronounced words to drive you bonkers. Mesquite, Montage, pecan, and a few more. Cute book otherwise.
