They live in shadows - deep in the forest, late in the night, in the dark recesses of our minds. They're spoken of in stories and superstitions, relics of an unenlightened age, old wives' tales, passed down through generations. Yet no matter how wary and jaded we have become, as individuals or as a society, a part of us remains vulnerable to them: werewolves and wendigos, poltergeists and vampires, angry elves and vengeful spirits.

Imagine getting out of the bath and finding blood in four of your six rooms. That’s not the plot of a B-movie. That’s real life. There’s a reason you’re drawn to horror films, and they’re not as far-fetched as you thought. FBI data shows that four out of 10 homicides and six out of 10 rapes go unsolved, and this isn’t just down to shoddy police work or a failing system. Sometimes, there just is no rational explanation. Strange things happen every day, and many of them are never reported. But then, many of them don’t end in horror.

When you think of serial killers throughout history, the names that come to mind are ones like Jack the Ripper, John Wayne Gacy, and Ted Bundy. But what about Tillie Klimek, Moulay Hassan, Kate Bender? The narrative we’re comfortable with is the one where women are the victims of violent crime, not the perpetrators. In fact, serial killers are thought to be so universally, overwhelmingly male that in 1998, FBI profiler Roy Hazelwood infamously declared in a homicide conference, “There are no female serial killers.”

Story
It’s a chilling reality that homicide investigators know all too well: The last face most murder victims see is not that of a stranger, but of someone familiar. Whether only an acquaintance or a trusted intimate, such killers share a common trait that triggers the downward spiral toward death for someone close to them: They are masters at hiding who they really are. Their clever masks let them appear safe, kind, and truthful. They are anything but - and almost no one can detect the murderous impulses buried deep in their psyches.

Okay
It's a decent collection of internet researched ghost stories. No new information. It was read well by the narrator.
But I don't know why so many authors feel the need to add a DIE (Diversity Inclusion Equity) spin to every topic. I don't need to be propogandized at every turn. You want Judeau-Christian civilization and culture to die. That's you issue but what does that have to do with ghost stories? It would be just as odd to decide that the point of every ghost story is low taxes, limited government and the original intent interpretation of the Constitution. When you need to inject your political issues into everything you should probably seek mental health treatment, it's an obsessive preoccupation at least.

These stories are intriguing and fun to listen to!
Books that are able to bring people together in a shared narrative are powerful. They have the ability to make people believe in things that they might not have otherwise. Ghost stories are particularly effective at this. In Ghost Stories Vol II, true tales of supernatural encounters are collected together and retold. These stories are intriguing and fun to listen to. They have the power to make people believe in the paranormal, and this is what makes them so special. If you're looking for a book that will bring people together and make them believe in something beyond the everyday, then Ghost Stories Vol II is the perfect choice.
