Enjoyable story full of Native American culture

This story was one I enjoyed. Gilly didn't seem to scream quite as much and while scared, definitely showed some spine in this story! What a nice touch, as was the 'Birdie can-can'. I won't ruin it for you, but the scene with the bird had me laughing out loud and glad I hadn't eaten any drumsticks lately.

I'm part Native American myself, so I really enjoyed the story being based on Native American legend. There seemed to be less loose ends in this story and for the most part the story line seemed to flow pretty well. I enjoyed how the Ancestors became involved, but didn't much like the unanswered questions on the family dynamics. Like, what happened AFTER the story ended? Did the grumpy older brother and his sister make peace? And the grumpy brothers daughter and her hubby - did she stand up to her Dad finally and make the move her hubby hoped for?

Other questions included: didn't the hotel staff mind a bird being left in a room alone for long periods of time? What happened with the disappearing rental car that was never found?

Yeah, I know I can be nit-picky, but these really ARE questions that remained in my head. Of course I just finished the book less than an hour ago, so the story is vivid in my head.

These books are a good light-hearted read and the ending often keeps me guessing. They're not too graphic and would be acceptable for reading with teenagers too. I'm not sure I would have younger kids listening, as it might be a bit too frightening at times. Especially since, as a medium, the stories are about people dying.

Good story

I've enjoyed this series. Had a little trouble following this one toward the end. The pace picked up and I lost track of characters as there were quite a few. Maybe it would have been easier to follow had I been reading a print version. (I did that years ago, but didn't remember this story line from that time to this.) Still, worth listening to again. Enjoyed Eileen Stevens's narration.

A favorite series!

Spooky fun. I love the irritating Gilly so much. MJ is brave and resilient. And sometimes foolhardy and grouchy. They are very human and I enjoy their adventures. Good narrator.

MJ INDIANS HEATH GILLY>>>>

Ok story hard to say interested. I'm not into the indian thing so to me it was drawn out. I love the character lines and the story line was ok but was not her best. I'm glad I got it but was that fast fun easy listen... Sorry to say turned it off a few times and turned on the music because it just did not keep my interest pecked. I'm ready for the next one. I love scary Gilly he is just to funny.

Great Ghoulie Fun!

Victoria Laurie, has hit a Giant Ghoulie Goalie, with Ghouls Interrupted, book 6 of the Ghost Hunter mystery series. It's a funny, fantastic, paranormal, serial killer, thriller, chiller!

M.J. Holliday, is the star investigator on a TV reality show, Ghoul Getters. Accompanying her on the ghost busting tour are, BFF Gilley Gillespie, BF Heath Whitefeather. Popping in now and again from the other side to assist as M.J.'s spirit guide, is Heath's deceased grandfather Sam Whitefeather.

Heath receives a call that his uncle has died. He informs M.J. he must go to the Zanto Pueblo in New Mexico. Sam informs M.J., that a terrible, ancient, evil has gotten loose, and if not stopped, will kill all the Whitefeather kin, including Heath. The Ghoul Getters team, heads for New Mexico to hunt down, and stop the evil spirit.

They discover that a demon, freed from a long incarceration, is wrecking deadly havoc in the area. No one in the tribe, believes the trio's theory, even after viewing the remains of a giant claw mark embedded in a tree. The tribe thinks it's probably a mountain lion, claw mark. The slinking, slithering, dragon-shaped demon continues its killing spree while the trio risks their lives, investigating the murders. Most of the tribe members, think they are plum loco, refuse to help capture the demon and generally hinder the crew's investigative efforts.

Gilley is once again, TOO FUNNY for words with his hypochondriac issues! He brings eccentricity, humor and loyalty as he follows along after M.J. and Heath, in the demon hunt. The trio goes into places, where the even the most brave, dare not enter.

Great performance by the Narrator, Eileen Stevens!

2,4,6,8, WHO DO I APPRECIATE? VICTORIA LAURIE!!!!!

I really enjoy this author!! I would love to meet the woman who created so many interesting characters!! She must be amazing herself! To anyone who reads this, when I find a writer that I like a lot , I usually love all they do so my review could be tainted with that overall view. Her stories are just so interesting to me and I love her humor! I read without thinking to about character development , plot line, and literary stuff. I just enjoy a good story and that is what I find in this series and every other series by this author. It makes me smile and that is all I need from a book. I am simple that way and usually easy to please with a good story. Also, I just have to add that I love the character Gilley and I adore the way the narrator does his voice. It's as adorable as he is in the book.
