The first victim was found lying on a sidewalk in the rain. The second was murdered in her own apartment building. Police lieutenant Eve Dallas had no problem finding connections between the two crimes. Both victims were beautiful and highly successful women. Their glamorous lives and loves were the talk of the city. And their intimate relations with men of great power and wealth provided Eve with a long list of suspects - including her own lover, Roarke.
As a woman, Eve was compelled to trust the man who shared her bed. But as a cop, it was her job to follow every lead...to investigate every scandalous rumor...to explore every secret passion, no matter how dark. Or how dangerous.

Would you consider the audio edition of Glory in Death to be better than the print version?
I am an avid reader, but listening to the In Death series read by Susan Ericksen makes it feel like I am in the story.Who was your favorite character and why?
Eve is my favorite character because she is a strong woman who overcame a horrible childhood. She didn't let the nightmare of her childhood turn her into that kind of adult.Have you listened to any of Susan Ericksen’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I enjoy listening to Susan reading this series.Fantastic read

I love this couple! Eve is complex with many dark corners in the baggage she carries. Roake's is mostly a good guy who seeps into her life. Even when she doesn't think she needs it, Roake helps her whenever he can. With her usual deft hand, D. J. Robb gives the reader/listener all one could desire in a good mystery.
The reader does much justice to each character! I especially that of her junior office, Peabody!
