About this listen

Gunpowder and alchemy!

When the goblin moon rises, strange things happen. Coffins float down the river, hobgoblins crawl out from their dens, and alchemists pore over ancient texts in search of the art of creating life. One man fights a secret battle against cruelty and injustice with wit, ingenuity, and a lethal lack of compunction.

This is a really enjoyable book but the narrator was way Miss cast and does not fit the tone or characters of the story. it needs to be redone.

Great book, but narrator is awful.

I absolutely LOVE Goblin Moon, of the Mask and Dagger Duology by Teresa Edgerton, having discovered it in paperback years ago. Listening to this audiobook version has brought back all my love for this perfect fantasy of manners, with its swashbuckling to rival the Scarlet Pimpernel, romance to rival Jane Austen, and detailed Age of Enlightenment-inspired secondary world where alchemy is real and dark magics persist. The narration is clear, and while I had some surprise to hear it all in an American accent (reading the book lends one towards a British sound), I got whisked up immediately in the world of men and goblins, secret societies, rescues, abductions, and murderous masquerades. Highly highly recommended. (This Audible copy was gifted for the purposes of review.)
